“Tourists and guests stay away!!!!”

That's really what the town is telling us when they charge $12 per adult $8 per child between May and October just to step foot on their beach. Only North Beach residents are free. Even county residents are charged way too much.

The beach isn't even that big. There's plenty of parking though - because no one is willing to pay that kind of money to sit on a beach!!

Go somewhere else and save your money.

“Quick getaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

A quick drive from D.C., I've been in summer and in late fall and loved it both times.
Summer is pricey -- we had to pay to get on the small beach and we rented chairs as well. The only bad part was the jellyfish. But there's a play place on the beach for kids and we could still build sandcastles. Parking is convenient. There are a few places to eat and get ice cream as well.
In fall, there is lots of parking and you can antique as well as take in the view. The boardwalk is decorated for the holiday season, including lights. It's free this time of year as well.
Most importantly for this time of year, it's quiet and safe and the views can't be beat.

“Nice place to walk”

Nice clean board walk along the shore, not much sandy beach for swimmer. Great time to walk during morning and sunset.
