We loved this place - the welcome was friendly and on the night we were there it was quiet with only four other tables occupied. Sitting on a wooden terrace overlooking a lawn it was relaxing. There is an aperitif followed by an amuse bouchée. The drinks bottles are left with you - rose, white and cassis by this stage. Then came a buttery foie gras and a bottle is sweet Monbazillac followed by duck salad and a choice of two reds - these are local Bergerac/Thénac wines and contrary to a previous reviewer they are not “cheap”! There is a choice for main course including a fish dish and then the sensational cheese board with a bottle of Chateau Lardy which is a lovely smooth local wine. Pudding is again a choice and this was the only part of the meal which was a little disappointing as my chocolate dessert could have been left out of the freezer a little sooner. There is then the offer of a digestive and coffee or tea for €38. It was not only a fabulous experience but an absolute bargain!!! Thank you, we had a lovely evening and your generous hospitality was delightful.
