This was my first year attending the Caribbean Linganore wine festival and I had a wonderful time! The music was great, the crowd was also great and the wine was delightful. I love that you can relax on your blanket or under your tent, drink wine, eat food, dance if you want to and just enjoy yourself. Event is also kid friendly. Arrive early if you want to secure a good blanket area for your group. Pack your cooler with your favorite things to eat - make sure it rolls. Parking is on a hill and seating is on an opposite hill. Oh and bring your sun block too! Looking forward to the next festival at Linganore. Wines to taste/buy: SkipJack, Peach, Strawberry, Steeple Chase Red.
I recently attended their Caribbean Wine Festival this past weekend and I had an AMAZING time! I didn't know what to expect as I had never visited Linganore before, but I was very pleased with my experience. Not only was their staff incredibly knowledgeable, you could also tell they are very selective of their volunteers. Everyone I talked to was friendly, courteous and knew exactly what they were talking about. My friends and I had a great time and even learned a few tricks (aka bring a bigger cooler) for the next time! We will most definitely be back!
My first time at Linganore and their annual Caribbean festival! So many people enjoying soca music and wine and lovely vendors. We had an amazing time. We will definitely visit again.
Went here today for the first time. There was a Caribbean festival. The staff were rude and unhelpful. My wife and I go to a lot of winery's and have never had a bad experience up until now. We took the tour, which ended in the fastest wine tasting ever. i had barely stuck my nose in the glass when they were on to the next wine, they could not wait to get us out. Everything was badly organized and whenever we asked questions some member of staff either gave us incorrect answers or grunted something at us. It was clear a lot of the staff dislike working at this particular event (which should not be my problem).
The only pleasant member of staff was our guide for the wine tour who was very respectful, knowledgable and friendly (Asian guy who had spent some time working on the West coast). I won't be going back particularly given there are so many other excellent choices who actually value my business.
