Lake Pointe Inn is nicest B&B/Inn that my husband and I have ever stayed at. We went there to finish celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary and had one of the nicest mini-vacations ever. There is so much care taken to make sure you feel welcome. The innkeeper, Caroline, is fantastic. We felt like we were at home during our stay. There were so many little extras, like complimentary drinks and snacks any time of the day or night. There were lawn games, canoes and kayaks and bicycles for the guests to use. There is also a tennis court nearby. The outside of the place is just as nice as the inside. There are several different seating areas around the inn. There was the porch with rockers and blankets to cover up with if it gets chilly. There are chairs set up on the other side of the in that look out over the lake. There is even a fire pit outside that you can sit by in the evening and they even provide the marshmallows. If you want to be pampered and made to feel completely comfortable in someone else's "home", this is the place to stay. We can't wait to go back and stay during the winter season. Tthe fireplace in the great room is fabulous...it almost feels like a ski lodge.

Every detail is attended to at this superior inn. From the immaculate, cozy rooms to the food and staff! Caroline, the innkeeper, makes sure your stay is all that you could ever want. My favorite part...next to the super jacuzzi tub in room, was the pontoon boat ride on the lake with our own captain telling local history and interesting info. We also enjoyed canoeing (the inn is 13 ft from the water), hiking to the waterfalls, swinging in the hammock, and eating the terrific chocolate chip cookies hot from the oven! The Arts and Crafts decor was a refreshing change from the usual frilly, overdecorated country/Victorian B & B's. Thank you for a wonderful retreat for our 26th anniversary...we will be back!

My husband and I just returned from a 3-night stay at Lake Pointe Inn and we have to say this is THE best B&B experience we have had! Everything about this inn far exceeded our expectations. It is spotless, beautiful, full of amenities, and breakfast was delicious (as were the ever-present snacks, like fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and afternoon hors d'oeuvres!). We stayed in the Garrett Room, which was recently repainted and rearranged. It looks even better than the picture on the web site! All rooms have private, in-room bathrooms, which was one thing that wasn't clear on their web site. There is also no outdoor hot tub right now due to a local zoning issue. Not a big deal for us, but the web site says they have one. There are a few things to see and do within a short drive, but not an over abundance. All in all, Lake Pointe Inn is the perfect spot to RELAX!

The Lake Pointe Inn is the perfect getaway if you are looking for peace, relaxation, or romance. Set right on a corner of Deep Creek Lake, you can sit on the porch and look out at the water. The inn is beautifully decorated in an elegant arts and crafts style (no dusty Victorian vibe here). It is immaculate and appears to have just been refurbished. The breakfast is delicious, and the innkeepers think of everything: any kind of hot or cold beverage whenever you want, 24 hours snacks, wine and hors d'oevres at 4pm, movies you can watch in your beautiful room. It's a very elegant operation. Go to their web site -- it captures the place perfectly. As long as you stay at the inn all is divine -- the surrounding areas offer little in the way of fine dining or interesting shops. A great place to go and relax, read, and be with the one you love.

When you think of an Inn, you usually think of quaint, Early Americain, antiques. You will find none of that here. But thats okay, this inn is situated across from the ski slopes and right infront you will find a lovely lake. In the winter you will see deer, in the summer you will see geese and ducks visiting the lake. Also most evenings you may even see several Black Bear. The surroundings are peacful and very scenic. Inside there are several types of rooms, catering to the winter out door sports, all of the rooms appear to have full baths, but the baths are outside of the rooms. A large Lobby area with a large blazing fire place. Breakfast was great, a large variety of breads, fruits, eggs made to order or hot cakes. A nice get a way in the mountains any time of the year.
