“Now my favorite ALLTIME B&B....Love this Inn”
Reviewed October 23, 2007

No detail had been overlooked in impressing us at our stay at the Lake Pointe Inn.
My husband and I have stayed in many bed & breakfast inns throughout many years of travel and I think the Lake Pointe Inn is now my favorite of all time. Our room was amazing. It had a gas fireplace and a big soaking tub right next to it.. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The Inn had homemade cookies welcoming us in the afternoon. There were warm Hors' Dourves & wine in late afternoon. (Actually there were fully stocked fridges on each floor filled with complementary wine, beer & soda.) The breakfast was "5 star" delicious. At night a fire was made for us on the back patio. We sat, drank wine and toasted marshmellows (provided to us). Every guest we met at the the Inn were returning for their 3rd, 4th & even 8th time. Next year is my 25th wedding anniversary.....I hope my husband will take me back to the Lake Pointe Inn to celebrate!

My wife and I stayed at the Lake Pointe Inn this past weekend for the fourth time in as many years. Every time we stay there we are most impressed. The breakfasts are not to be missed; outstanding both mornings. The cookie jar is always full of chocolate chip cookies; how can you beat that. Two of the rooms were occupied this year by the same people who were there last year the same weekend; a testament to Caroline and her staff. In fact, when we booked for the same weekend for 2008 we had only three of the ten rooms to choose from; the rest were already booked!
If you are a seasoned B&B traveler or a first timer at a B&B do not miss the Lake Pointe Inn!

Foolishly, we booked only one night at this beautiful inn, but we enjoyed every minute of our short stay. The attention to detail is incredible, and every attempt is made to provide for the comfort and pleasure of guests. We will certainly return, and will be wise enough to stay longer.

This was our second trip to the Lake Point Inn, and things
have gotten even better. The amenties provided here far
exceed any other inn or bed and breakfast that we have
visited. Wine, beer, soft drinks and juice are stocked in
hallway refrigerators. There are chocolate chip cookies,
banana bread, fresh fruit and popcorn available all day.
There are appetizers served in the evening followed by a
boat ride around the lake. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks
and canoes plus the lovely dock for sunning or fishing. A special touch is the evening sherry and chocolates set out when
you return from dinner.
The location is convenient to Wisp, and while in a housing
plan there is enough property around the Inn that you don't feel
crowded in. The Inn is truly lakefront.
The Staff was helpful and friendly and were available during
the day and early evening. The rooms are nicely appointed
with comfy bedding and flat screen televisions. Our room
had a great view of the lake. We definitely plan to return to this
lovely inn.

  • Liked — The lakefront location
  • Disliked — Had to seek out someone for check-in.

What a pleasant experience! The Inn is located right on Deep Creek Lake and the views of the lake and the surrounding area are magnificent. My wife and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were immediately greeted in a very pleasant manner. We received a tour of the Inn and were then taken to our lovely room. There are complementary soft drinks, beer and wine available throughout the day. Snacks and wine are served at 5 p.m. and can be enjoyed on the spacious deck or on the patio. Sherry and cookies can also be enjoyed in the evening. The inn provides canoes and kayaks for the guests and there is a pontoon boat ride every evening. All the rooms have a TV and DVD player and the inn’s library has a vast selection of DVDs.

The diverse breakfasts are excellent and are served in a very gracious manner by a smiling employee, who also helped create this repast. After breakfast we relaxed in our room for a couple of hours and then left to see some of the many sights in the area, from white water rafting to seeing a glass blowing factory, but we made sure that we returned in time for the evening wine.

The Inn has 10 guests rooms and a very nice touch is that each room has its own parking space. The are plenty of restaurants in the area and the inn provides a location description for each one.

The one downside happened on the last morning. The breakfast was supposed to have a Southwestern theme, but one of the items on the plate was a glob of a soft brown mass that, although it was certainly not what it looked like, was enough of a turn-off that my wife could not eat any of the food that morning. But that minor incident was overridden by all the outstanding, pleasant experiences of the 3 days of our stay.

We will certainly return.

We spent two nights at Lake Pointe Inn and it was absolutely the best! We were celebrating our 33rd anniversary and it could not have been any more perfect. The innkeeper and staff go out of their way to be helpful and are very friendly and accomodating. We especially liked the fact you could use the kayaks or canoes right from the edge of the dock on the property and did not have to leave and go elsewhere. The evening pontoon ride is so relaxing and the captain gives a nice overview of the area. In the evening, you can sit outside by a nice fire and roast marshmallows while wrapped in the warm blankets provided by the inn. Sitting on the front porch in a comfy rocker while sipping your morning coffee or tea is wonderful! There are always plenty of snacks and freshly-baked cookies or fruit sitting out. You can help yourself to beverages in the mini-fridge on your floor. All this is included in the room price which is a big bonus. The rooms are immaculate and provide every amenity. The jacuzzi tub and gas fireplace provide a nice touch to the rooms, along with down pillows and comforters. We love the mission-style decor of this inn as it is so warm and cozy. They have definitely thought of everything and go out of their way to provide guests with a wonderful, relaxing getaway. We would love to go back and highly recommend this B&B to any discriminating traveler!

The inn is situated directly on the water, although it has a very small property and is sandwiched between vacation homes. The rooms are wonderful, tastefully decorated with premium amenities such as a bose stereo, flat screen tv, premium linens and towels. A had a stone
massage and it was one of the better massages I have had. Beverages, alcohalic and non, are available around the clock, as well as snacks.
The full breakfast was above average, but I am an extreme foodie. Which brings me to the downside of the area, the food is terrible. With the exception of Canoe on the Run, which serves inventive sandwiches and soups, the dining is awful. If food is not a top priority, I would recommend staying at Lake Pointe.
