This state park has it all - gorgeous views, trails, picnic pavilions, playground & a wonderful pool! It is a little off the beaten path, but it is worth the trip! We go here several times each year. There is a fee to enter to pool area. Food cart has snack type food. Can get delivery from local restaurants in Lonaconing. Highly recommend this park!

Trails, swimming pool, picnic tables. Beautiful views. Takes a few minutes to get here but worth the time. Named after an ancestor so I was curious to visit it so I am a little biased.

A Maryland State Park of some 500 acres, about 10 miles south of I-68 on Maryland Route 36. Mostly pristine wilderness, but with some picnic pavilions, a swimming pool (fee required) playground, and a fishing pond. Closed on weekends ??

pavilion use by reservation. Handicapped accessible. No camping, and closes at sunset.

If you're in the area, Dan's Rock is a fun place you hang out at for an hour or so. There is a great view, and is great for pictures. Dan's Rock is very colorful due to people spray painting their names on it. It is nicknamed the "rainbow rock", and it is a Frostburg State tradition for the students to mark the rock with their name.
