“Very Convenient to the airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011

We flew into BWI then rented a car and took off for a week, then went back to town for one last night before flying out. The Residence Inn was a great place to stay...not only spacious, but the shuttle was convenient, and it was only a short ride to and from the airport. We went to the airport the night before to drop off our car, then didn't have to deal with it early in the morning, because the shuttle started very early. The staff was very friendly, and they had wonderful "happy hour" snacks. Very easy.

We stayed here for one night in early July as we had an early flight out of BWI. Booked this hotel through Priceline so the price was definitely right. One word of caution as this has come back to bite us twice now. Priceline only guarantees a room for two. If you get this property through Priceline, you will more than likely get a room with 1 bed. If you do find yourself in that situation like we did, no worries, this particular hotel has a pull out couch which is fine for the kids.

Overall nice facility, just minutes from the airport. There's a few restaurants in the area and a movie theater. Just a few minutes away is the Arundel Mills mall which is HUGE.

There is an outdoor pool but unfortunately for us, someone had broken glass in the pool so they were draining it the day we were there to clean all of the glass. The rooms are nice and big with everything you need for a short or extended stay. I've attached a few photos.

One thing to note, it looks as though this hotel does allow pets. We did notice a faint odor in the halls but nothing terrible.

We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I along with our 16 1/2 month old stayed here for an extended weekend. Hotel was very clean, staff was great and accommodating. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Good size, but since we had our toddler I think in the future, we will opt for the 2 bedroom suite. Nice to have a kitchnette and a pull out sofa sleeper. Flat screen tvs were in both the living area and bedroom. We were able to catch the Manager's Reception on Thursday, which was a great option for dinner. This is held Monday through Thursday. The outdoor area was laid out very well - basketball court, outdoor pool and whirlpool, gas grill and patio. The complimentary breakfast was just enough, but get there earlier. Conveniently located near Baltimore Inner Harbor and right off of the main highway.

The only thing that spoiled our stay, and it was no fault of the hotel's, was that there was a family reunion going on that weekend and the family had the dining room area, gas grill, pool and outdoor patio hogged up part of Saturday all day into the evening on Saturday.

Other than that (and again no fault of the hotel), a nice stay!!

Traveled with a friend who had business in DC. Chose the Residence Inn because we are always pleased with the rooms. Easy drive from hotel to DC in the morning. We had asked for a one bedroom with a King Size Bed and received a two bedroom therefore we had two full baths also. Convenient for getting ready in the morning. Living area had fireplace which didn't work our first night but by the time we returned the next morning it was fixed and working wonderfully. Ate in our room (kitchen/dining area) both nights we were there. Full size fridge, stove, dishwasher. Bed incredibly comfortable. Flat screen TV's in both bedrooms and the living room. Breakfast in lobby area was good with both hot and cold selections, kitchen/wait staff friendly and responsive. Close to the airport but no noise. All in all a great stay!

I had modest expectations given previous reviews, but this was a great stay (two rooms for three nights). The rooms were nicely laid out with secure interior corridors, beds were comfy, TV was fine, kitchen was plenty big, and the free Internet (wired) worked great. The breakfast was pretty amazing -- I've paid restaurants for buffets of less quality and it was very well kept up by the staff. Free parking, free shuttle. We've stayed at many of the BWI area hotels off Nursery Road and this one was our favorite so far. Not to mention that it's nice having a full-size refrigerator, a microwave with popcorn, and a couch compared to bed-only hotels. The quiet, woodsy area is nice, too.

Stayed here many times already. Very close to the airport - many BWI airports around this area. The rooms are big, clean and all have a kitchen. Hotel offers free dinner snacks and breakfast. The staff is there when you need them otherwise you dont notice them. There is a little pool outside that is open when the weather allows it. Free parking is also available. Good place to stay for a couple days.

Full disclosure, Marriott Rewards member so I pick mostly that chain for business and personal travel. Have stayed here several times in my many trips to Balto area. I will stay here again I expect. Good news is they have replaced the TVs and many channels to chose from. Acceptable quality TVs, but sometimes one in BR and one in LR won't get all the channels. Notice to housekeeping will get it fixed, since they have recently been installing these new TVs I suppose that will straighten out over time. Good internet connectivity both on wire and wireless. Rooms on airport side allow you to hear planes, but they don't fly all night so the noise will end.
Excellent airport shuttle service- timely and dependable.
Typical breakfast, good quality. You can make choice if you want healthy (oatmeal and fruit) or not so healthy (Belgian Waffle with ALL the trimmings).
It's a multiple building location without connecting passageways. An advantage is the noise of lobby is separate from rooms- disadvantage is walk to lobby requires outdoor travel.
I like proximity to I-695 and Balto-Wash Parkway (295) for ease of driving. AND like proximity to G&Ms for Chesapeake Bay seafood and great bakery items.
