“Good food but small craft beer list.”

The food we had (shrimp tempura and a pizza) were very good, but we didn't care so much for the atmosphere. It's a bar with a few high top tables and two booths - nothing fancy. The beer selection is also rather limited, with the standard Bud/Miller line up and a few craft beers. They did have Loose Cannon, so that was a plus! Even though the beer selection is weak, we'll probably go back because of the quality of the food.

Well the place.was being reminded or something at the time. We was seated in the back part of the restaurant and the lighting was very disappointed and dark. Took a very long time for our orders to be taken and longer to be delivered. And kept sending it back cause it was cold and not what was ordered

This converted historic movie theater it's located on the Square in Leonardtown. Weather sitting at the bar eating appetizers and watching a game, in a booth conversing with friends and family, or on the outdoor patio when the weather is right, we've never been disappointed.

The Rex is a fun place to go because it has a lot of history - it used to be Leonardtown's own local movie theater, and now has found new life as one of the Town's popular bars and eateries. The food is all named and inspired after local streets or locations in town, and the bar offers lots of options. The walls are lined with actual movie posters from films that were shown there, as well as plaques that have the memories of locals imprinted who share their fondest moments from when they visited the movie theater. You still feel like you're about to walk into a 1940s style theater when you come! Don't miss the Fenwick, the Washington Street Tacos, and the popcorn to snack on at the bar from the popcorn machine!
