Having just arrived in town from the great Northwest we're on a mission to see how east coast seafood, particularly the famous Maryland blue crab, stacks up. With that in mind, we stopped by Kevin's (note that the sign says Kevin in teeny tiny font and Thompson is huge lettering). We dove head first into crab... We had the crab dip, the cream of crab soup, and the fried platter with crab cake, fish, oysters, clam strips, and shrimp. The platter included two sides, we chose Mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes. My fist experience with fried green tomatoes has catapulted them into at least my top ten. They were delicious: crispy, tangy, and juicy. Not to be forgotten, the crab dip was so yummy and rich! The soup would be perfect on a cold winter night, hot and soothing. In fact, all the food was great! The service was casual, but very friendly and Kevin came round to check on us, which was a nice extra effort. All in all a great new find, sure to become a regular stop!
