This is a Classic American Diner. Get the Blue Plate Special - it was meatloaf the day we were there, and it was wonderful. Breakfast all day is always a good choice. Play 50's music on the table jukebox or sit at the long counter and oogle the fresh-baked cakes.

The waitress was very helpful, and the milkshake she whipped up was incredible. And she knew to bring us two spoons to share it. :)

We have eaten at Frank's Diner a few times. It's not a fancy place, looks like something out of the 50s but that's what you expect with a diner type environment. We have found the wait staff to be very pleasant and we get waited on pretty quickly. The menu is extensive. The food is good, sometimes very good, but perhaps not great. Good, basic, home-cooked food. I believe it is more of a breakfast place. When we have eaten there for breakfast, it was very crowded. When we have had dinner there, it is not crowded at all. It is a good place to take a family. Some of the food might be a little bland, but it's not bad tasting. An exceptional type of place might be if they use real oven baked turkey cut from the turkey breast for sandwiches. This place uses deli thin sliced turkey on its sandwiches, so it's that kind of place. Good, but could be better. I prefer Bob Evans for breakfast, but we do eat at Frank's Diner when we are in the area, going to and from Baltimore, which is about once or twice a year. The prices are average. Two people could probably eat here for under $20.00. I would certainly eat here if I were in the area.

Food & service were quite good but overpriced. $2.50 for a cup of average tasting coffee - $13.00 for 2 eggs with home fries, 2 slices of bacon & 2 pieces of toast. They are in need of blinds that open. It was dark inside at 9am. We were in & out in 20 minutes.

Frank's Diner has mostly homemade food, not boil in a bag or cook in a microwave, but honest to goodness homemade. The cakes that are displayed on the counter are made by the owner's wife, and are absolutely delicious. Haven't tasted cakes like that since my grandmother. The place is spotless compared to others. The staff is very personable and you feel like your at home when your there. Highly recommend for families.

Frank's is old-school cool. Especially good for breakfast. And cake.
