Description: The newly re-imagined Cinnamon Tree Restaurant - located at Hunt Valley Inn, a Wyndham Grand - continues the legacy of this lively dining destination for area residents and hotel guests alike. The exciting signature dining option offers inventive cuisine, creative cocktails and buzz-worthy special events. Cinnamon Tree is a comfortably sophisticated destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main dining room celebrates the union of rustic and contemporary with touches that include dramatic glass link chandeliers, tables of dark wood, tufted banquettes and dining chairs covered in velvety smooth fabrics, in addition to walls featuring custom millwork that hint at Baltimore's equestrian history. A menu of American classics boasts contemporary twists in preparation techniques and seasonally-driven influences. Breakfast offerings are a balance of light and traditional fare and include energy-boosting fruit smoothies, Egg White Frittata with Spinach and Tomato, and a Pecan Waffle with Maple Syrup and Whipped Butter. Classic Maryland staples dot the lunch menu, including She Crab Soup, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and a signature Crab Cake Sandwich on a Brioche Bun. For dinner, Chef D'Costa serves signature dishes including the Classic Wedge Salad, Fresh Salmon Carpaccio and Arugula Salad and Maryland Surf & Turf with Filet Mignon and Crab Cake. Craft beer, signature cocktails and a robust wine list complement the kitchen's menu.

“Buffet Breakfast at the Hunt Valley Inn Very Good, Indeed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

Lovely room, exceptional host who seats you. Decent coffee, fresh orange juice, a helpful waitress. A large breakfast buffet, and someone to make you your choice of omelettes.

I was in a rush, so opted for the serving trays of bacon, scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Bacon was good (they cleverly use bread to absorb the bacon grease, so it's not greasy!), eggs were decent. My home fries are better...but then, my home frie, IMHO, are world-class...ask my husband ;-)

I noticed hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit, fruit cocktail, toast, French toast, yogurt, cartons of milk of varying fat concentrations. A scoop of salsa from the omelette station really added some zing to my scrambled.

I was in and out in 15 minutes and well-fed.

“Skip it for a better known”

this is part of the Hunt Valley Inn -- the food was terrible and overpriced. With the proximity of better known chain restaurants, you are better off venturing out.

“Censational Lunch at Cinnamon Tree”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We stopped to rest awhile after escaping the traffic of Washington DC and enduring the the Baltimore-Washington congestion for over 2 hours, bumper to bumper. The Hunt Valley exit was at the right place at the right time. And the Cinnamon Tree Restaurant sign beckoned us to come on in and sit yourself down. We discovered a sensational lunch buffet and a beautiful, spacious dining area with the feel of an Adirondack Camp (high ceiling, giant wood beams, big fireplace). Prices were reasonable and the portions were perfect. I especially remember the Maryland Crab Soup and the perfectly grilled jumbo shrimp. Delicious!
I highly recommend the Cinnamon Tree Restaurant and I rarely can recall my lunch sit downs while on the road. This was a special place to enjoy lunchtime eats and was easy to access and to escape the Washington-Baltimore traffic. At least on this Friday. Our waiter was especially friendly and bent the rules for us, permitting us to enjoy the lunch buffet when he could have turned us away. It was after 2PM and he was getting the dining room set up for dinner service.
The Cinnamon Tree Restaurant was a part of the Hunt Valley Inn of Baltimore when we visited but management is apparently in negotiation to sell the property. Here's hoping that the Cinnamon Tree remains a quality stop on the busy road to/from the Washington DC Area. BTW, to add to our experience at Hunt Valley, we happened to visit at the start of a regional gathering of Fairies who were arriving for their weekend Convention, an annual event! They were great fun to watch. Thanks for the great food and hospitality, Cinnamon Tree. I hope to visit again soon.

“Very nice, but not inexpensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

We had both lunch and breakfast at the Cinnamon Tree Restaurant. The Maryland crab soup at lunch was excellent, and the salad was very generous and well done. The breakfast bar was well above average. The room has a retro look (think 1970s orange with very large decorations), but it is very clean and comfortable and obviously well taken care of. Very nice meals, but perhaps slightly (10%?) on the expensive side.

“Pretty good for a buffet”

The breakfast buffet was good but would have loved if they offered turkey sausage or bacon not just pork.
