Barrett's has an amazing crab and corn chowder that will keep you coming back. If that was their only claim to fame, you'd still want to go, but it isn't... I don't think I've had anything there I didn't like, their house salad is very tasty as is their short ribs, crab cakes, and on and on. Good wine list too.

Ate at Barrett's Christmas Eve, party of 4 adults. The restaurant was hopping! However, we had reservations and were seated promptly when we arrived at the stated time. They have a decent wine list of wines by the glass, which was nice as only 2 of us wanted wine, and of course, I wanted red and he wanted white. The server took our drinks order, then switched to another table - so another server brought the drinks and took over (which was a bit odd given the timing, but I put it down to Christmas Eve and being busy). The appetizer that 2 of the parties ordered, the ahi tuna, arrived promptly and was enjoyable. We did have a breakdown on the meal - the veg side dish that was offered as the side du jour turned out not to be the side after all - a broccoli, califlower, carrot medly was offered, but green beans arrived. Also, one diner ordered the risotto as a side, but was served the wild rice pilaf. The risotto was eventually sorted out, but the answer on the broccoli medly vs. the green beans was that they 'ran out' during the service. With broccoli alone as a standard side dish, that's a little disconcerting, but no matter. Everyone liked their entrees (filet, chicken, prime rib, lamb) and the portion size was reasonable. Even though they were very busy, we did not feel rushed. All in all, it was an acceptable experience.

Excellent selection of entrees, especially the shrimp and lobster roll, can be a little noises but well worth a visit with excellent customer service

The crab n corn soup was to die for rich and creamy. The ahi tuna appetizer was very fresh plated in all star fashion. The wedge salad blue cheese balance was right on but I was not offered fresh ground pepper (the $ factor and ambiance suggested this) so I settled on the pepper grinder on the table. We had lunch/dinner with a shrimp lobster roll and a crabcake platter, which my wife and I always split. The roll was good. The crabcakes were meaty with little fill but we are in Baltimore please. A little bit of Old Bay goes a long way to help identify the local mainstay fare. The slaw that accompanied the cakes was freshly prepared and very good. Alot of business customers here and the private party room was in use so our seating was not the best being on the serving path to the party room. I still give Barrett's a thumbs up.
