The name makes it sound like a fancy get away. The food was good but nothing out of the norm for the Chesapeak. The ourdoor seating is noce at night but too hot in the summer days. The are not the most child friendly, but still the place was nice. The bathrooms need alot of help! Might be back.

Crab Bisque, Broiled Rockfish, Pan Sautéed Softshell Crab, Rice & Steamed Green Beans, a spectacular view of the trains & bridge and the Chesapeake Bay, a most pleasant server .......
This had all the elements of a perfect diner experience. Thank You

Popped in for a late lunch during anniversary weekend in Havre de Grace. The wait for outside seating was 45 minutes so we opted for inside seating....Well, the hostess mentioned to us as we were being seated that our table had a reservation at 05:30 PM...hmmm. does this mean we will be escorted from our table at that time (never experience a hostess saying that before). A waitress was pleasant and attentive. I had the crab club which was a decent sandwich but a bit overpriced at $16.00, calamari did not have any flavor, mussels were tiny and average taste. After hearing a lot about this restaurant, I walked away expecting more.

We were seated in a perfect spot on the patio right at the water. It was a beautiful day with a nice breeze. The waitress recommended a local beer with old bay on the rim. We shared a platter of steamed shrimp that were flavorful and already peeled in a sauce. Salads for us all around and they were large and fresh. A nice ladies lunch!

Havre de Grace is an excellent stop-over for the driving trip from NYC to DC, and Tidewater Grille is THE restaurant! Fabulous water view, completely unobstructed. Service was friendly, professional and timely, in spite of several special requests. Broiled crab cakes were literally the best we'd ever had.
