Every time we go to HdG we start with a large pina colada smoothie from the Promenade Grill (it's worth the wait in line) and then walk along the beautiful Promenade, a series of wooden decks the town has built right on the water, along the bay. Kids, dogs, elderly couples holding hands...on a sunny day it's hard to imagine a nicer way to spend an hour or two. The walkway starts at the Marina and ends at the tiny lighthouse...all along the way you have the most wonderful views! Sailboats, ducks, the sun on the water...you also pass by the Decoy Museum and Maritime Museum along the way. Plenty of benches to sit and take in the views.
