Nice hotel and rooms with nice updates in places (bathrooms), but a little dated in others (ripped wallpaper in room, elevators showed wear). Nice lobby and pool, but no hot tub. Housekeeping missed a lot the first day of our stay (left trash in trash can and dirty towels on floor), but did much better the second day.

The Ramada Plaza hotel in Hagerstown, MD was a treat! It was a lovely hotel from the moment we entered the lobby, to the elevator, halls and especially our room. The room was large and had a detailed television station sheet (important to someone looking for basketball!) Our bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was especially nice - there was a light in the shower!!! (what a treat) It was immaculate; the towels were large and soft and there were many amenities included that we were not used to in the other hotels, similarly priced, that we stayed in this trip: toothbrush, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner in the room and others available on request. There were many restaurants nearby to choose from including one in the hotel (15% off coupon if eating there...) We were very happy with our stay and would be sure to stay again if traveling through Hagerstown.

Grandma and granddaughter spent the night here just for fun!! Couldn't get my granddaughter out of the pool. Most of the time she had the entire pool to herself. Room service for dinner was wonderful; I had a delicious crab cake (I'm hard to please) and even the iced tea was fresh brewed and delicious. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. Grandma appreciated the desk and free WIFI. She can't wait to go again....we had a great time and I highly recommend this hotel; I felt safe traveling alone and we were very comfortable.

Check in was fine and the hotel was located in an area with many restaurants and easy highway access. The room was clean, quiet and very spacious. We come to this area once or twice a year and we will use them again.

Was excited to finally have a girls' getaway with a friend from DC. Checked in to the spotlessly clean, quiet, and smoke-free Ramada room 531. A little stumped when looking for the fridge (it is in the bathroom, under the sink.) Worked ok, but funny locale. Also, no microwave, alas no popcorn for movie night! Coffee maker does not have a pot, when asked the front desk about it they told me it just makes 1 cup at a time and to pour in the water and put the cup back under...kind of a hassle when you both want to sit down with a cup of coffee or tea. Shower water pressure was a problem. Half the water persisted in pouring down on my feet even when the selector knob was set for shower. Also asked the front desk about it and it was repaired immediately. Kudos!

Breakfast is served in the attached restaurant and included cereals/milk, oatmeal, fruit cocktail, eggs, sausage links, make your own waffle, toast, mini-danish, yogurt, choice of 3 juices and coffee and tea. No fire at breakfast in the "fireside" restaurant and it looked dated. Christmas wreaths and greenery were still up in March. You have to walk through the lobby and into the atrium to cross into the restaurant which discouraged grabbing breakfast and taking it back to the room.

The biggest downer was getting back to my room on day 2 to find my bed had not been made. Although I had put out the card requesting fresh sheets (my friend was joining me that day and I wanted her to get her pick of which full sized bed she wanted) I found my old sheets partially pulled up and all the pillows stacked on the other bed, as if someone was in the process of making the bed and got called away and never came back! Old towels were cleared away, although one looked like it had been re-hung, but the used towels had not been replaced, nor had toiletries in the (nice) bathroom basket.
