I write this from the "business center" of the hotel, a few minutes before departing on my trip home. I write this NOW because I don't want to let the moment pass, and wish to thank the management and staff for their hospitality and unexcelled service. No one paid me to write this.
Anyone who has traveled far, wide, and often develops an instinct and appreciation about hotels, and has at some point imagined how we would run a hotel the "right way." This property comes as close to the right way as any possibly could.
I won't say much about the accommodation, simply because there is not much to say after you say "perfect." I find nothing at all that could be done better; everything clean, tidy, comfortable. OK, I DO wish there were real glasses in the rooms, instead of paper cups. But I'll bet if I requested that, they would provide what I asked!
The restaurant is cozy, with world class entrees and attentive service and prices that are suspiciously reasonable. This NOT one of those properties where you go to your room and THEN go looking for a good restaurant. It is right HERE.
And yes, there is a complimentary breakfast, which includes actual food as opposed to those things that live in lockers in a "breakfast room."
There is a huge swimming pool - beYOND huge. Clean, safe. Yes, a work out room.
The most exceptional asset is the people. Everyone of them cheerful, happy, eager to help, friendly, and well spoken in the English language. And everyone ssems to have some authority to make a decision, do the right thing, take care of the customer.
The cost. Let's be reasonable, here. There is the cost that I paid, today; then there is the one you'll pay a year from now. But let me say this: What I needed was a suite of rooms to support a gathering of people from all over. What I paid for was basically 2 rooms. And the cost of those rooms was much less than the same type rooms at other area hotels, and much less than any property anywhere at all in the world. You will, I believe be delighted.
The sales manager here is Debbie Miller; behind the desk, Judy, and Peggy among others. Mike handles physical plant. Everyone of them is dedicated to their job and very good at what they do.
You're going to love it here. You're going to say, "Finally, someone got it right."
