This "hotel" is just a wing of another hotel, Clarion. Both are owned by the same family from India. I spoke with a lady who apparently owns the place. She was proud to tell me that the "Express" part of the building had the rates that cannot be beat and that I will not find any roaches here. Was she trying to tell me that there were roaches in some other parts of the building? She was rather condescending and speaking with her left a pretty bad aftertaste.
The first room I was offered smelled like an ashtray, but the second one was OK and it had a brand new carpet. Most of the furniture was old, some covered with blotches of white paint. The beds were OK and the linens were clean. I didn't care for the rest of it as I only spent about 7 hours in the room getting some sleep.
In retrospect, if I knew about the condition of this "hotel" or about the attitude of the owners, I would have never stayed here.
