“Best in Grasonville”

We had a great dinner at The Narrows after disappointing meals at Fisherman's Inn and Annies. What a delightful surprise. Good attentive service, excellent food. We'd gladly go back if we were in the area again.

“(But not what it used to be?)”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We've eaten at the Narrows for 27 years, and will continue to stop there on our way to and from the beach. It's an easy jaunt off and on Route 301. They serve straight through the day, the planters out front are always gorgeous, and it's nice to take a stroll out on the docks after the meal especially if you've been cooped up in a car all day. We enjoy the water view from the porch (or from anywhere inside, for that matter), and it's still a cut above other restaurants in this corridor. But we have to say we were a little bit disappointed, today. The small lobster roll and fries were not worth $21. The soft shell crab salad's toppings--the crab and onion frisée--were both really, really greasy. But the tomato mozzarella appetizer with balsamic was great, and the bread is always wonderful. (We do miss the Portuguese rolls of yore!) Prices seem to have escalated since last year. First time we've ever seen a "sanitary door opener" on a bathroom door--great idea!--you just hook your forearm through it. Had a bit of a Charles Ives thing going: piped in music, plus the live band on the dock next door. Something for everybody, including picky teenagers. Still giving it 3-4 stars but hope they'll watch those prices.

“Don't Miss this Restaurant!”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

My wife & I made a quick, unplanned trip to the Annapolis area on family business in early July. We were there over the 4th of July. On the afternoon of July 4, we told the desk clerk at our hotel that we would like to drive over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and find a good place to have dinner. She quickly recommended the Narrows and gave us directions.
I think we arrived about 6 or 6:15pm - without reservations. That was not a problem and we were seated in an area overlooking the water, boats, etc.
The food and service were excellent. Our server was #120 Darlene. She was incredible and really added to the dining experience. I hope we can return some day and be seated at one of her tables. She made excellent suggestions and made the overall experience wonderful.
We ordered two appetizers - Gazpacho and Scallops. I had a dinner salad. Both of us had broiled crab cakes for the main entrée. Drinks were an excellent draft beer - Yuengling. We finished off with very fine coffee.
We have travelled quite a bit in the past 4 or 5 years and this dining experience rates as one of the best!

“great restaraunt on Kent narrows”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Great view of the bay, very friendly staff with excellent food and reasonably priced meal. Ingredients all fresh and and they had great rockfish special. Dress was causal with short being fine. The restaurant itself seemed a little more upscale then some of the other nearby restaurants.

“Amazing”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We have visited the Narrows on several occasions and have never had a bad experience. The lobster tempura is a fabulous appetizer, we started with one and had to get another and now we just order one each when we visit. The scenery is great and the service is very efficient. You can't go wrong here.
