This place is exactly what you would think an old school crab place would be like. The crabs were very large and cooked just right. The oysters were fresh and inexpensive. The prices here are pretty fair, just Large crabs are very expensive. Good potato salad. Don't forget to order the Nutty Buddy for desert

Food here was good, but this is one of those places that nickles and dimes you for stupid things. For instance, you can pick a side, but a plain baked potato with butter requires an upcharge. Seriously? Not a loaded baked potato, a plain one. Also, they are not the type of place that can manage the simple art of bringing those upcharged sides out in conjunction with the entree. I do not suggest ordering a bottle of wine here either. We ( a party of 4) ordered a bottle of wine and it was brought to the table already opened. I was the last person to get a pour and guess what? I received a half a glass! So, long story short, Thanks Harris Crab House, for charging us for an already opened bottle of wine with a glass missing that I assume you sold to someone else. Finally, after Maryland, we were headed to DC and we asked the server if we could have a crayon from the kiddie menu supply. We were planning to trace the name of a family member from the Vietnam Wall, and hoped to avoid a stopover at CVS for a crayon purchase. Our server told her that they did not have children's menu crayons. On the way out the door, we couldn't help but notice a huge inventory of Kiddie menus and crayons. Sorry, but these people are just not trustworthy. If you cannot trust them to be truthful about simple things like unused wine and crayons, how can you trust them to serve you local fish or quality produce?

Great waterview tables. Early in season, so no soft shell crabs. Service very good. Steamed crawfish were decent, not great. Raw oysters were spectacular. Maryland Crab Soup was fair. Still, a very pleasant meal

Crabs are good but aren't always true to size your expecting. Jumbo crabs are Jumbo when they are catching Jumbo, keep that in mind. Ask to see one first. The view of the drawbridge and boats passing by is entertaining. Prepare to hear a lot of echoed chatter while enjoying the view !

Harris Crab House is one of those places you have to try. It's at Kent Narrows, beautiful scenery, great place for seafood. Friendly staff, get off the beaten path of Rt 50, it's well worth it.
