“Enjoyed the outside dining”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

Stopped by for lunch on a beautiful day so we took advantage of the dock side tables outside. We weren't in a hurry, so it didn't matter, but.... the service was slow out side. This gave us plenty of time to visit and enjoy the narrows and the weather. The food was good as usual. We are a regular and will return.

“Excellent Fried Oysters”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

It is what it is....a crab house so the atmosphere is just that although there are beautiful views of the bay. Service is excellent and the place can get noisey at times but that just adds to the fun of it all. Three of us had lunch there today and we all had Maryland crab soup which we all thought was edible but tasteless with very little crab in it. As a matter of fact, it had very little of anything. The fried oysters were excellent, the fried clams were awful due to being way over cooked, the grilled tuna was delectibly delicious as were the fries. The cole slaw, don't bother unless you like it overly laden with some type of mayo based salad dressing. I have been there on several occasions for their oyster buffet which starts in the fall and runs through March. I can't say enough good things about the buffet...absolutely EXCELLENT. The crabs have gotten better over the years but it certainly isn't the best restaurant on Kent Island. Worth a try...there are many things on their menu I have yet to taste so I'm only writing about what I've had. Enjoy wherever you go as Kent Island is full of life....

“Still the spot for good simple Maryland seafood for a GREAT price”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Sunday April 21st, plain and simple it's great food for a great price in the simplest of down home family settings over looking Kent Narrows.. With Butcher paper, mallets and shell buckets, this place has all the fixings for a down home sea food fest. Hey even the libations are very reasonable; just don't mind the plastic cups your wine is served in, just enjoy. Hey it is a Crab House...... LOL

“Spongebob would dine here!”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

You like crabby patties? They have the best crab cakes ever! We were there over the weekend for a rehearsal dinner. We had a great private room. The crab cakes were divine. We beat the heck out of several bushels of crabs and they were amazing. The service was good, the atmosphere was fun (paper on the tables, beer in pitchers, and mallets to whack the crabs into submission) Maybe it was the beer talking but I would drive the 2 hours there just to get the crabs and/or the crab cakes again. And the butter sauce...let me tell you about the butter sauce...

“Who's Got Fresh Maryland Crab? Not Them!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We made the mistake of coming here on the 1st of April - the day after Easter. We were looking forward to some fresh steamer crab. Well, they were out. We wanted some oyster stew - well, they were out. How about some crawfish - they were out of that as well. We settled on a shrimp poor boy, steamed shrimp and stuffed shrimp but when we asked for the hand wipes - well, they were out of those as well.

I don't know if it was due to the Easter holiday but whatever the reason, we were not pleased. Our service was good, but the availability of food was not.
