If your looking for a nice place to stay in the Deep Creek Lake area for a long weekend, then this is the place. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, though it does show its age a little in spots. Nothing drastic though, just little cosmetic things. We had a king bed [non smoking] room on the 3rd floor. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. The bathroom was very clean, though the sink drained a little slow. It faced the interstate, yet was very quite and peaceful. When staying here your about a half hour from the lake, its a pretty drive to and from. It's our first time staying there, but definitely will again in the future. The hotel staff is very friendly.

It was quiet and comfortable and with an alright breakfast. I used the guest internet near reception and found it to be faster than in other hotels we stayed at and the indoor pool was welcome after a long hot drive.

Spent the night here instead of paying an arm and a leg for Deep Creek rentals. Easy drive to all the W. MD Parks. Rooms were recently upgraded and were nicely appointed and clean. Breakfast in the morning is a bonus as there aren't many choices in the area. Hotel staff were very friendly and nice - esp. the lady who runs the kitchen. :) Great place to stay if you are passing through or wanting to enjoy MD parks on the cheap. Only downfall I can say was the air conditioner was noisy - may not be a problem for some but I need quiet to fall asleep.

We stopped here after a very long first day on a motorcycle roadtrip on our way to the NASCAR race in Sparta, KY. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us a room on the front of the hotel so we could park our bikes where we could keep an eye on them. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

We stopped here on our way from Indiana to chincoteague,VA. Room was clean; maintenance really needs to caulk the toilet and tub to the floor though. Quiet hotel with an indoor pool that was obviously self painted but it was a welcome relief from our journey. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Overall stay was good if given a chance would probably stay again.

Nice clean and comfortable hotel. The staff was very speedy at check-in and helpful in making restaurant recommendations. The rooms were average sized but clean and comfortable. The hotel was full with both a bike race in town the next day and a girls baseball/softball tournament going on. The bike racers got up early and the walls are thin enough that the noise they made woke us up. Once they were on their way things settled down until the baseball teams got started so we packed up ourselves. I'll never understand how parents & chaperones can be so clueless as to the behavior of their kids but they are - a lot of running in the halls, piling into the only elevator available, banging doors and pushing in the breakfast lines. The adults behaved similarly so maybe it's genetic. Unfortunately the hotel isn't soundproofed enough and the breakfast area large enough to insulate other guests from the impact of those who don't realize not everyone wants to get up at the same time they do and monopolizing every table in the breakfast area even after they're done eating is rude. We'd stay again but would ask if there's a large group that is likely to be disruptive and ask to be put in rooms further away from the "action".

Room Tip: Check if there's a large group staying and request a room away from their block if possible.

I have stayed here several times in the last year or so, and I have always found the location to be neat and tidy, the rooms are very clean, and the staff is very nice. I drive for a living and this is one place that I can count on making my night there a good one.
