Terrific seafood and their menu offers some items not found in other restaurants like Sour Beef or Frog Legs...best cream of crab soup in the area by a far cry. If you order dinner, your are served a relish tray along with cheeses and crackers. Service is decent even though the waitresses are busy to the extreme at times. Their slowest time is around 2 in the afternoon....

Have come here for years. The cream of crab soup is very good. A good seafood restaurant without being named one

Spur of the moment dinner out with my husband and daughter at one of hubby's favorites, Sunset. Timing was a little off that night as they were hosting many Christmas parties and it affected service, but this is not the norm. The norm is a good old-fashioned, retro-special occasion restaurant that makes no apologies for who and what it is. You won't find coupons for Sunet; they don't need them. This is THE Anne Arundel County place for those holidays, weddings, anniversaries, etc. and has been for a long, long time. The decor is opulent from the heavily carved double wooden doors, dark, rich drapes and antiques all the way through to the bars and dining areas. The menu too speaks of old fashioned, simply prepared crowd favorites. No trendy fusion cooking here. Steaks, seafood grilled or fried, Italian. Known for their shrimp salad, cream of crab soup and enormous strawberry shortcake, when was the last time you saw 10 different ice cream parfaits on a dessert menu? Welcome back Kotter! From the moment the crackers and port wine cheddar are served accompanied by veggies and olives, you know you're a little kid all dressed up and on good behavior when Grandma and Grandpa are treating the family to a nice dinner. This is not for everyone. We've gone beyond the safe old classics in many ways; but if you can put away the Ipad, turn off the cell phone, dress up a little and take a step back to a simpler time and place, you've found the perfect venue.

Went thiere for my anniversary. Ordered the seafood salad plate, it was huge. It had large shrimps, and the portion was huge, and it was really good. The cheese and crackers dish was really good also.My husband ordered the steak, and it was huge as well.
This restaurant is O.K. in my Book. Great Food and Service.

Had dinner and drinks in November, 2010. Restaurant has several different dining areas, and can accommodate rehearsal dinners. Large food menu. Service was ok. Food is ok. nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes the steak can be rather dry. There are two bars. One is right beside the restaurant, with some tables for dining. The other is in the back ans is strictly a bar. No entertainment. Some video games. Locals hang there. For the money it is worth the value. I live here and don't go too often, but it is worth a one time visit.
