“Beware”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

One of the worst rooms ever stayed in. My two adult daughters and I stayed while visiting Grandma who lived in nearby senior living center. We had hoped to stay for 3 nites because it was conveniently located, but were thoroughly disgusted and barely made it through one nite. We stopped by and booked the room in afternoon but did not go up to look at room 326 seeing as the lobby was fairly clean and nice looking. Big MISTAKE. After spending day with my mother, we went to hotel at about 11 p.m., we were hot and tired. There was a dead bug and empty soap wrapper behind the bathroom door (the rooms are cleaned everyday -really?) the carpet was covered with cigarette burn holes, as well as the bed covers. We pulled back the covers and the one mattress pad was all discolored and stained, the linens were stained and wrinkled and looked like they had been used. Towels, linens and pillows all were discolored/stained. We moved to the Hampton across the street the very next morning - night and day difference !!

Room Tip: Go to the Hampton Inn across the street

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights - August 21 - 23, 2012. There was 5 people in our party and we had 3 rooms. We were having a little family get together and decided that we would like to visit Washington and Annapolis and this hotel was conveniently located for our needs.

The room I stayed in (235) was nice but there was a musty odour. The second day the A/C wasn't working as well as it had been and I found the source of the smell - the carpet under the A/C unit was very wet. The television was very snowy and there wasn't a lot of light in the room even with all the lamps lit. The other rooms were all good and everyone found the beds comfortable and the rooms were all very clean. We didn't use the pool or the exercise room, but can say that the included breakfast was good with the usual choices and the breakfast area was clean but a little crowded at times. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm happy with our choice to stay at this Days Inn and would recommend it.

Room Tip: The "business suites" seem to be better rooms.

We were in need of a place to stay to attend a family funeral, so did an internet search. The Days Inn at GB was an unknown entity to us, and we were so very happily surprised to find it more than just clean.
Some of its assets from our experience--
A welcoming staff , helpful at every turn.
A breakfast that is plentiful, fresh, and served with a smile. Great fresh waffles!
A sparkling outdoor pool, for us clean even after a rainy morning.
A 2010 renovation that left the place with fresh colors and styes.
Location just off I 695

Minor disadvantages- Our bathroom was extremely small and the room could use an additional mirror over the desk for ease of groups getting ready to go out.

Room Tip: Not sure if they all front on the pool or not, not that is a very nice touch

Although conveniently located near main highway and selection of restaurants nearby, hotel needs a major overhaul. Found room not clean (food on floor and few outdoors type bugs). Swimming pool chairs and ground around pool dirty. Have seen this property go downhill.

Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. Hotel is outdated and the rooms smell like wet dog. The clientele at this hotel was very low. We felt like we were staying in the projects. During breakfast a girl sneezed on the food and never covered her mouth. People were cutting the line and had an attitude when confronted. Several clients were dirty, rude and trashy. The swimming pool chairs and the ground around the pool was dirty. Young men were hanging over the hotel balconies drinking beer and creeping on any female that moved. One young man had the nerve to say some inappropriate things to our teenage daughter right in front of us (her parents). I will NEVER stay or recommend this hotel to anyone!
