“Well equipped appartment with stunning views”

Our apartment was very equipped, including washing machine. Two double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen ding sitting room. 2 balconies, one with "the views". Kotor is at the end of the fiord, nevertheless it is deep enough to be visited by cruise ships, which come and go at regular intervals, along with some more interesting smaller boats. Bring your binoculars. apartment very clean and helpful representative on site with perfect English. Pool just right size and just enough loungers at this time of year, if more residents perhaps a bit short. There are steps from the road up to the reception area and again up to apartment. We were on the top floor, so had plenty to climb. 20 min walk into Kotor, old town interesting with lots of alleyways and small shops and restaurants. Taxis cheap. We took boat trip to Presat, Lady of the Rocks, good value. Also the hop on and hop off bus, but busses stopped at 3pm, after waiting an hour a small bus turned up - they had noted we had not returned and came and fetched us! Also took a taxi to Tivat town, and walked around Porto Montenegro - another world, of luxury, and design. We came back to real life by taking the bus back along the coast to Kotor which was beautiful and scenic.

“Marvellous”
Reviewed June 19, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Exceptional views. Far enough outside Kotor town (about 15-20 mins walk) to be very peaceful. Taxi back at night only 2-3 euros. Fabulous pool, plenty sunbeds & umbrellas. Apartment has two bathrooms - very handy. Nearest supermarket is 5-10 mins walk.
Kotor town is incredible - on a par with Dubrovnik & Tallin in my opinion. We walked up to the mountainside church & round the city walls. Took a trip to Budva on the bus, 4 euros each. Budva not as good as Kotor - too built up.
Boat trip to Perast & Our Lady of the rocks - brilliant - and just 15 euros each.
We've had apartment holidays all over Europe over many years but this one takes top prize - go soon!

“A week stay at Kotor Vista apartments”
Reviewed June 19, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Firstly the location is fantastic and the view from the balcony of the apartment B5 one of the best you could wish for!!
The apartment itself is smaller than appears in the advertised pictures - I visited with my wife but a family or 4 adults might find it on the cramped side.
The accommodation consists of 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite, a second bathroom and an open plan kitchen/lounge area. There is also a balcony with seating for 4.
The whole apartment is not air conditioned, there is a single air con unit in the living area. There are fans in the bedrooms but even with these the bedrooms were very warm at night. As for the bedrooms, in B5 the beds in both rooms were very uncomfortable, this being caused by warped bases to both beds (as you can see we tried both beds as we both ended up with bad back and leg pain). Also the curtains in the front bedroom were literally see through so be prepared for an early awakening!
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need and there is even a washing machine.
The balcony was a lovely place to sit in the late afternoon evening, only spoiled by a broken table.
I have read reviews of mosquito problems but there were none at the time we stayed even though the daytime temperature was in the high 80s. We were however greeted with a plague of flying ants in the back bedroom on arrival which was rather off putting.
There are 2 small swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. However on at least 2 days all of the beds were in use, even at an off peak time of year so bear that in mind. There was an office next to the pool area - we thought it would have been good to have been able to purchase water or cold drinks on site.
Kotor old town is a leisurely 20-25 minute from the apartment. Be aware though that if you walk back it is uphill and the last approach to the resort is steep. It would not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. On the plus side a taxi into Kotor only costs a couple of euros so is a viable alternative to walking.
Overall we loved Kotor itself but were a little disappointed by the accommodation here.

“A great Apartment in a beautiful location”

This was our first holiday to Montenegro and it didn't disappoint. Stunning scenery and our Apt (Kotor Vista) was lovely. Very spacious, spotless and nicely furnished near to the old walled town of Kotor. We had Apt 4 in the 5th building and our terrace/balcony had beautiful views of Kotor bay. The Apt has all you need, is well run and maintained and Renata the holiday rep (on site) was most helpful. There are 2 shared swimming pools (one smaller for children) and the development's location is pretty quiet. The old walled Town of Kotor is approx a 25 min walk. The Road in parts is narrow to get there but there are plenty of cheap cabs available if you don't fancy walking back at night, fare 2 euros. Kotor is very interesting, Narrow cobbled streets, lots of bars and restaurants serving great food. Lovely old buildings and houses, very Italian. We took a boat trip which really showed the stunning coastline scenery, went to Tivat and walked along the modern Marina and into Town. We far preferred Kotor and did a lot of walking! You can hire a car but not essential as cabs and buses are cheap. Cruise ships regularly stop here so Kotor can be busy with visitors but you can get away from the crowds!

We had a brilliant very relaxing holiday, and everyone was so nice and polite. We also had great weather with just one day of heavy rain. Would thoroughly recommend.

“Great stay”
Reviewed September 20, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed for 2 weeks in August with our two children (10 and 6).

The apartment is extremely well appointed with good quality furniture and equipment. The Rosenbergs have taken the time to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible and have thought of many little extra's to make your stay comfortable, such as Wi-Fi, spare adapter, a good selection of DVDs (if you want a night in) and even an umbrella! The apartment benefits from having direct access to the pool area from the patio balcony which we found really useful having two younger children. The patio balcony area provides super views across to Kotor and has two good quality sun loungers as well as a table and 4 chairs.

Despite being peak season, the pool area was never crowded and there were plenty of sun loungers available. One of the pools is much shallower and is the smaller of the two - which was great for our 6 year old who is not yet a confident swimmer and our two were delighted they could use inflatables in the pools. The pools loose the sun in late afternoon (from about 4 o'clock onwards the sun starts to go behind the mountain) but this is ideal with children as it gives them time to play out of the direct sun.

Once the sun went over the mountain the mosquitoes came out, so plenty of repellent is required, but it is sold in all the local supermarkets.

The location of the apartment is second to none for a holiday in Kotor, whilst it is close enough to walk to the old town, the taxis are very cheap (2-3 euro), prompt and efficient . We loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by and the cruise ships coming in.

We flew into Dubrovnik in Croatia and made the transfer by taxi. Once you reach the fjord the road is very winding and despite the best efforts of our driver, both our children suffered travel sickness. So travel sickness tablets are recommended if you are doing the same journey with children. A flight direct to Tivat would have saved us time and poorly children - the airport is a very short drive through the tunnel. However, this did not in any way detract from out wonderful stay in Montenegro.

We hired a car, which certainly enhanced our stay; and we enjoyed the National Park up the "Ladder of Kotor", Petrovac and Budva and of course not forgetting Svetti Stefan. It is certainly worth exploring the beautiful country; but on your doorstep is Kotor Old town which deserves it's UNESCO World Heritage status - plenty to see, a great climb to the top but we enjoyed wandering through the charming little streets.

Once we had booked with the Rosenbergs we dealt with their contact in Montenegro - Hayley. She was absolutely great and made everything so easy, she organised the car hire and mountain bike hire for me and even recommended suitable travel sickness tablets for our kids for the return journey.

All in all, a great apartment in a great location.

Our warmest thanks, Mick, for such a positive and comprehensive review. As you say, it is a joy to bask on the terrace or by the pool, but such a beautiful region really does reward exploration. We are absolutely delighted your family had such a super time in our apartment and in glorious Montenegro. Welcome back anytime!! David and Carol.

Comfortable, spacious well equipped apartment with lovely views from large balcony.Good pool area but should have been more regularly cleaned. The apartment was in the sun until early afternoon. There were no amenities close by such as a supermarket, cafe or restaurant. These were only available after a 10min walk along a narrow road with no footpath. However taxis were cheap. The Kotor Vista complex was adjacent to lots of vegetation and this led to a constant problem with mosquitos.

Thanks for your kind comments on the apartment. We should stress that supermarkets and an abundance of superb restaurants and bars are literally a one minute drive or taxi ride away in the old city or along the beautiful shoreline. The lovely pool and surroundings are cleaned daily and scrupulously and we will ensure this is rigorously adhered to. Mosquitos are normally insignificant around Kotor Vista - first mention in 10 years - but we found the little blighters a nuisance all over Europe this year, so hopefully a one-off. Hope to welcome you back in the near future, folks. Kindest regards, Dr. Carol and David Rosenberg.
