When first arriving at any villa at the beginning of a holiday, for me first impressions are very important & Villa Mima did not disappoint !!! Set on the side of a hill overlooking Kotor Bay its simply quite stunning... ! The Pool area was fantastic with plenty of sun beds & pool was superb. The Villa itself was lovely and had all amenities needed and of course Air con which is essential in this hot climate. I stayed in the annex accommodation that was self contained and I can say it was great with a mini kitchen so we could have our morning tea without bothering the main house as others liked a sleep in, it also had a washing machine which we used.... There were two cats that seemed to come with the property & were never far away !! We hired a car which was handy as its quite a steep climb up to the villa and shops were a bit of a walk if you wanted something plus it gave you the opportunity to explore freely in the surrounding countryside - we went white water rafting at Tara Rafting which is highly recommended but was a 2.5 hour drive, taxis were handy too if you were out for the night. A couple of items to note are that the pool was maybe a little deep for small kids if you were thinking of bringing the family and the wooden balustrade close to it was a little shakey in places and I felt it needed a bit more strengthening to make good, We used the bbq on two occasions, one for a birthday party which did run on a little late (1pm) with lots of laughter etc and we did have the adjoining neighbours complain about the noise unfortunately- but we were on our holidays and it was only one night !! Plus they had been drilling and hammering at 7.30am on the Saturday morning and woke the main house !!!.....Besides all that I would highly recommend Villa Mima and will have fond memories of the time I spent there with good friends...The view from the Villa is now my screen saver at work !!
Having rented a number of holiday villages and cottages I can confidently say that that Villa Mima is the best that I have stayed at. The views alone make this a fantastic place to be (think Loch Lomond meets Santorini), but combined with a modern and well appointed villa this makes a great holiday spot.
Djordje is incredibly responsive throughout the booking and arrival process and ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay - we took a 9 month old baby with us and he even had his cousins checking the local supermarkets to see if they stocked the brand of milk we were using.
Kotor is a fun little town, with several other towns and beaches within 20-30mins. We had a great week there and would thoroughly recommend a visit.
We visited Villa Mima in August 2016 with friends. The house is exactly what we'd hoped for - great pool, sun loungers, outdoor dining area, big kitchen for cooking inside and BBQ for outside, all looking over the beautiful Kotor Bay.
The weather was great so we woke up every morning to blazing sunshine - not a bad way to start. Day times were mostly spent by the pool or going down the hill to swim in the bay. It's a short walk to the Old Town along the waterfront (20 mins) or a taxi (less than 5 mins), where there are loads of restaurants and bars - some of them jut right out onto the water and serve great seafood (go for the octopus!).
The house itself is big and just renovated, with large double bedrooms throughout and a living/dining room with TV and sofa beds. There's a studio flat in another building too which we didn't use but also looked great.
Amazing place, would really recommend it.
