This is our local breakfast place when we don't feel like cooking breakfast at home. The location is convenient and the service is friendly and quick. Nothing spectacular but always reliable. The servings are too large so we usually order a three egg omelet and an extra plate. More than enough for two.

This IHOP is a typical offering from this chain. Stay with the standards and you won't be disappointed. It gets really crowded on Saturdays and Sundays from about 9:00 to 1:00, so we show up by 8:30 or go somewhere else. If you arrive at like 9:15, be prepared for a wait.
As expected the pancakes are yummy, but so are the other breakfast standards and side - like their grits and corned beef hash. You may be disappointed by the more "exotic" offerings

Went to I Hop Germantown this morning for breakfast. One word of warning on the weekends get there before 9:15 AM before the soccer crowd comes in and you will be seated quickly. The place is clean, the wait staff is all very young and pleasant. Our waitress was there at the table moments after we sat down. She took our drink order and by the time she came back not two minutes later we were ready to order. The menu is very large with lots of things to choose from. Some are standards some are ridiculous but there is something for everyone. I had eggs benedict with a side of scrapple, my wife had the omelet with egg beaters. The food came in about ten minutes and the order was correct, complete and freshly prepared. Both meals were large, both were good. We were as usual satisfied. This is not our first time to this I Hop and our experience is not out of the ordinary. We always enjoy it but it is not a regular thing, you get a days worth of calories in one meal! But once in a while what the heck right?
