If you want some of the freshest and tastiest food in Frostburg, CJ's Red Giant restaurant in Dante's is the place to go. Tapas Tuesday is the best, but the selections on any given night are terrific. Martini Monday is a good day too.
How's the bar service you ask? The beer selections on tap are usually very good.

We stopped in here at the early evening while visiting from out of town. It's an old/historic building with a narrow bar area leading to a restaurant area in the back (not visited). Not too fancy but inviting. We sat at the bar. There was a large selection of beers and the bartender Jessica was very friendly and efficient.

We had Spinach Artichoke Dip (appetizer), Chicken/Apple/Cheddar Panini sandwich (toasted), Pear & Blue Cheese Crostini. The portions were generous; I usually don't take home leftovers but the chicken sandwich was so good that I had the bartender give me a take out box and it was great even cold the next day.

This is one of the most interesting bars in Frostburg. They always, ALWAYS have great live music. It's really a great Bluegrass venue. So great I feel honored that some of these performers have been to Frostburg. Ther service is very friendly but sometimes slow since Dante's gets packed from time to time. The prices are decent but sometimes there's a cover. If there is a cover, pay it. Whatever going on inside is worth it. There's two sections to this bar. The bar side and the stage side which sometimes has beer sales. There's a great outdoor patio for drinking and smoking. Don't miss it.

I've never eaten here but the food menu sounds and looks fresh. I have friends who drive up from Cumberland to eat here. There's a small parking lot in the back of the building if you don't want to park on Main street and the post office lot works too

The atmosphere is mostly older 20s, early 30s locals which is perfect for me. Don't miss Dante's when you're here.

We were introduced to Dante's by several friends in the Yoga class around the corner. For some reason, we had not made the effort until recently and now sincerely regret our delay! Dante's has a menu but we have been eating the daily specials of about 10 to 15 tapas. Our usual tapas experience has felt like you are getting a (expensive) snack -- at Dante's the prices are incredibly low and the quantity is really sufficient for a whole meal (although we find a selection of 3 for two of us is about right). Service is very fast!

The beer selection is excellent -- I love dark and hoppy beers and Dante's has a large selection on draft and in bottles to suit my palette. There are the usual lighter beers available, too.

We have only eaten at the bar. There are tables. Do not be turned off by the outside appearance -- this is not a TGIF type of place but once inside it is very friendly and you will not regret anything other than having to leave!

They do offer take-out ordering. We saw a brisk trade in this while there.
