“Nice dine-in local spot”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

This is a nice, clean, diner with great homemade desserts. We stop here sometimes just to pick up desserts for special occasions - like mile high cakes. But they have a full menu as well.

“HIDDEN GEM IN FORK, MD”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

This is absolutely the best place to eat and drink in the Kingsville area. Family owned, it has a splendid and assorted menu, and craft beers and wines to keep everyone happy! I have had most of the menu and all of it was top notch, with service being caring and quick.

“Bistro Dining in the Country”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

We have been going to the Sunshine Grille for a few years now and have never been disappointed in the food and atmosphere. The owner bought an old country deli and remade it into the kind of restaurant you might find in a trendy area of the city. Don't let that statement make you think it's expensive, however; the prices are quite reasonable for the delicious, generous portions of food served. There is also a large selection of beer and wine, including many local selections in both categories, along with craft beers.

The restaurant is not big inside and is fairly noisy when full. We try to time our visits outside the regular meal times when the atmosphere is a bit more peaceful. As they have an extensive breakfast menu (available all day every day), Sunday is pretty crowded until about 2 p.m.

There is also outside dining if weather permits. Fork Road gets a lot of traffic on nice days, so try to get a table farther away from the road. In late summer/early fall, yellow jackets can be a little problem in the outside area, so I always ask for the "bee report" before sitting out there at that time of year.

The suggestions above are just given to help you optimize your visit to the Sunshine Grille. No matter when you go, you will be impressed with the varied selection of menu items, all delicious. The owner is Greek, so there are quite a few Greek menu items available, and there are Greek yogurt and desserts in the refrigerator case up front, available for dining in or taking home. Our impression is that the owner is always looking for new dishes to delight their faithful diners and entice new ones. My husband loves a big hearty meal and I tend to order smaller dishes; the menu has a large selection of items for either of us. We have had quite a few of the fish dishes, including the Ahi tuna appetizer, and have enjoyed every one of them, especially since the fish is not overcooked there - a common mistake that restaurants make.

After being disabled by a bad storm last year, the owner invested in a large backup generator, so they are usually open even when a storm causes extensive power outages in the area.

All in all, a trip to the Sunshine Grille is a very rewarding dining experience. We live about 20-25 minutes away and find it's always worth the drive. Check it out!

“Fantastic breakfast”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

The Sunshine Grille serves up a fantastic breakfast! Large omlettes stuffed with fresh ingredients, delicious french toast and unique pancake flavors (s'mores!), and a nice friendly environment. Service was excellent - quick and efficient, constantly refilling our coffee mugs. Food was out very quickly after ordering. We ate breakfast around 7:30 on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded when we got there, but it was packed by 8:30 when we were finishing up. Highly recommended!

“Great local spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

My family loves the Sunshine Grille. They have a huge menu and you cannot beat the prices for the amount of delicious food they serve. They also have an impressive, inexpensive beer and wine selection. Don't worry about saving room for dessert, you can take it home!

The dining room is small, but it's worth the short wait. The service is efficient, but expect it to be a little slow when they are packed, which is often! We usually run into 1 or 2 people we know every time we visit!

Menu favorites are anything from the breakfast menu, shrimp cheesesteak, spaghetti and meat sauce and greek salad.

Overall, this is a great, family restaurant with good food and atmosphere!!
