To begin, the area is beautiful with the lake and mountain setting and the resort is themed well on the outside and main lobby. The rooms are not what you expect when looking at the exterior. The beds were not comfortable to us and the overall theme in the rooms looked dated and just worn.
There were not a lot of people in the hotel as it was the slow season but there was no room service, only "go to the bar and pick up the food" which seemed overpriced and not many options.
The staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful, overall great to deal with. The buffet breakfast was very good and well attended (refilled and checked on often).
We had a good one night stay and enjoyed are time but for a 'four diamond AAA' rated property it does not necessarily compare to other similarly rated properties. The area is beautiful and quiet, recommended for the area.More
