Great food, great wine list and great atmosphere. One of few places in Howard County you can sit outside in the summer and enjoy a great meal and conversation. A hidden gem!

“Casual Dining, Happy Hour - Warm Friendly Setting”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

We enjoyed several of the Small Plates, Crab Soup and warm friendly casual atmosphere. I recommend the Braised Short ribs and Maryland Crab Soup. My wife enjoyed the Ceaser Salad topped with Roasted Chicken. Our server was excellent in providing complete knowledge of the menu and ability to change some of the requests at our table. We plan to return more often. Summertime must be a very good time to attend with the availability of an open patio available.

“Comfortable, Congenial Go-To Restaurant”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

My husband and I love LeeLyn's -- from the Owners, Staff and food to the atmosphere, it's a regular go-to place for us. We've taken family and friends there and have never been disappointed. A good time is always had by all!

The bar area is compact and the Owners have utilized the space well, with a combination of high-top tables and chairs, regular tables, a comfy sofa seating area, and a bar that will seat around 10-12 people. The restaurant part was redone about two years ago and offers a nice alternative if you have a larger group. The outside eating area is terrific in the summer and fall with lots of table with umbrellas and an outside bar as well (the plantings and gardens are worth sitting out there).

I especially enjoy the attention to detail in the decorating -- each season there is something new, and overall it's very eye-appealing and fun.

The food is great and the Chef switches up the menu often enough to keep it interesting. Sometimes we try the new offerings just to see what they're like -- some are a hit, some are a miss, but either way, it keeps us coming back. Favorites include the chicken quesadilla, the chicken BLT wrap, thick fries, the hummus plate -- AND the other reviewers are correct -- the crab cake sandwich OR dinner are to die for! LeeLyn's has weekly night specials that are well worth checking out: Burger night, Wine night, Crab cake night -- the prices are terrific and the service great.

The clientele spans a wide range of ages which makes it fun and gives it a nice appeal -- younger, middle and mature people will all be comfortable here. It's a great local place, owned by local people that offers great service (especially from Staff that have been there awhile and know you), plus great food. Check it out when you're looking for a comfortable place to hang out for an evening or an afternoon glass of wine!

“Crab cake special almost weekly”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

My husband comes almost every week on Monday night. No place else in the Mid-Atlantic measures up to Leelynn's in his book. I try different things although usually get Seared Tuna. Good Malbec wine. Nice that they offer a whole page now of Small Plates. Thought the Small Plate Beef (4 oz. filet) and Potatoes looked interesting and while tender, the meat had very little flavor. Always good service.

“Pleasant atmosphere, but only average food with too many misses”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

This was my first visit to Leelyn's. I decided to try the specials of the day, pork belly and Asian grouper. The pork belly was a clear miss. My idea of pork belly is a rectangular slice of pork belly cut thick. The meat should be braised in a liquid flavored with soy/ginger/fruit (something!) at a low temperature to render down most of the fat, making the meat similar to a confit. Then taken out and the skin pan fried or broiled to give the skin a wonderful crackling crispiness. This offering of pork belly was cut thin like a cutlet, dusted with a light breading and pan fried. It lacked any of the sweet, juicy lusciousness that you would expect from this dish. It tasted very bland. The Asian Grouper was better, but still lacked any wow factor which is surprising as it was on a bed of black rice, with a citrus sauce and julienne cut slivers of ginger, Somehow the dish while good, just didn't pop to memorable. I tasted the fried calamari... too oily. Shrimp salad was very good, as was the Maryland crab soup. Wednesday is half price bottles of wine night, that's nice. I think this might be a better restaurant to go to in the summer and sit on the patio with some small dishes and share a few bottles of wine with friends. I'll try it again then.
