It wouldn't post without a star but our real rating is No STARS, we left after our drinks without eating because we were so disgusted by the behavior of the owner. A young couple with a small child came it & were told by the owner that they didn't have high chairs or booster seats. The couple looked pretty dejected as they left. My kids are older but I remember the days when there was a limited window of time for eating out, the Rumor Mill cost that family a lot of valuable time, maybe even their whole night out. But it wasn't the lack of accommodations for children that sent us packing it was the remarks the owner made to a server about not wanting "their kind" and "brats not welcome" as the young family left that caused us to cash out before we ate dinner. He was laughing as he said these things, not sure how chasing away customers is funny. Restaurants are considered the hospitality industry. The owner of the Rumor Mill doesn't seem to realize that he depends on others for the success of his business, his nasty remarks right where everyone could hear him was inexcusable. We'll never be back.

We stopped in the Rumor Mill for the first time this past summer. We were impressed by the menu, especially the unqiue tuna sliders. Very good! The service was great. The set-up of the entrance and dining rooms is somewhat awkward and choppy, but the good food is the main thing. Try it! We'll go back.

We went for our anniversary, trying a new (to us) restaurant. The food offered is Asian fusion in the form of tapas, so it's great for sharing many small plates. All the food was delicious from the Kobi sliders to the cherry infused duck. The crab dip was exceptional. While the martini was a generous size, we would have liked to have had the glass chilled. Also, we were confused by the lack of hot beverages on a Saturday evening, even though the reason we were given was that the coffee maker was not working.

We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff did an excellent job of showing us attention and keeping us happy. The chef came and introduced himself as well as a brief liquid nitrogen demonstration....very entertaining! All and all the prices were fair for Tapas and drinks. Great time.

Do not bother wasting your time or money here. The service is SO bad, no drink refills, extremely slow and not friendly. The chefs are rude and take forever. They serve things as they are done with some diners being finished and others haven't even received their food yet. Overpriced, tiny portions too. I asked for no pepper on my sliders, and they were so full of pepper I was choking. No drinks left to drink though, not even water, which was requested twice to no avail. I sent the sliders back and was told "the chef didn't think they were spicy". I specifically asked for no pepper what do I care what the chef likes to eat? What if I were allergic. Completely horrendous place.
