We stayed at this hotel the night before we moved. We were not planning to but there was a huge storm and needed to get off the road. They had rooms available at that late hour. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The price was nice. We did not have breakfast since our plans fell through again and had to rush out but it smelled good ! It was a good, hassle free experience.

My friends and I threw a dart at the map and decided to stay at Elkton, we were pleasantly surprised by location and this brand new hotel. The staff was excellent, especially Nancy at the desk. She provided a wealth of knowledge on the area. We are all looking forward to our next stay in Elkton.

Stayed on last Saturday night. Could not believe the hotel is ten years old. It was immaculate. They obviously spend a lot of effort maintaining and updating. Room was spotless as was bathroom. (cleanliness is huge concern at hotels for us) Breakfast was decent... a little better than average at this type of hotel due to staff's making sure everything was refilled as needed. Staff was friendly and not overly concerned that we were a little late checking out. (checked in around midnight.)

Stayed at this location recently and it was a complete disappointment on many different levels. First would be the w/e lady in the morning at checkout after informing her of the negative issues we encountered she was very apprehensive as if how dare i speak anything bad about hampton inn and not only that but she would not honor the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee which is boldly printed right in front of her on the service counter!!! Another issue was the indoor pool which is listed as "heated indoor pool on the website but when we got in it was ice cold. And not prior to that the entire first floor hallway of the hotel was flooded with a quarter inch of water, not sure what it was or where it came from but we almost slipped and broke our necks since there were no fwet floor signs warning us of this danger. Then we were given a room right next to the elevator hearing ding ding ding all night from people getting off/on and on top of that the room is also directly above and in front of the main entrance lobby so all the people driving up and checking in could be heard from their conversations to car doors banging. And lastly to gross us out was the discovery of a used hair covered wash cloth hanging over the showewr rod. This place has a lot to learn especially in customer service relations. From a manager not being available to address these concerns to not returning voicemails in a timely manner.

The lady on duty when we checked in was terrific. Cordial, efficient, informative and energetic. She should be commended! Her reception made a nice start to our stay. We all liked the modern, quirky décor and signage (my daughter is a graphic design student and complimented the typography). Room and bathroom were immaculate. Our only complaint (really, a very mild complaint) was the breakfast. Eggs were a bit old, selection of drinks was limited (although I think I saw a staff member replenishing them while we were eating), sausages were cool. I suggest you add milk containers to drink selection (my kids drink milk all the time). Not really a bad experience, but as measured against the otherwise fine qualities of this hotel, it fell a bit short. Generally, great job!
