“Best TexMex in Harford County, MD!”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Delicious TexMex at reasonable prices. Recommend the beef or pork enchiladas, and the steak quesadillas or fajitas. Complementary chips and salsa are always fresh, and guacamole bowl is our preferred appetizer. New lunch buffet is a great value and includes soup, salad, tacos, burritos, with beef, chicken, and steak and vegetables. Enjoyed the fried ice cream for desert. Decor is festive with a busy bar specializing in margaritas and other tropical drinks. Service is usually attentive, but may be slow on weekend nights. Located near several hotels just off of Bel Air/Edgewood exit of I-95.

“Excellent Place”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I had a great meal after a long day of travel at El Rodeo. I found the staff to be amazing. The manager Steve and bartender Raven provided me with excellent choices of both food and beer. The hot sauce is excellent. The chicken enchiladas were excellent and very filling. Several beer choices were offered up and we ended up doing an informal beer tasting with a couple of other customers. Pleased to find a place that is willing to bring in craft beers and be knowledgeable about what they are buying. Highly recommend if you are traveling on business or pleasure.

“Pick a day!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

On any given day the service can be great or poor. I believe once they figure out that they need more help it could be better. The atmosphere is cool, but sometimes you wait to long to be served. It is getting better though. The drinks are good though.

“Tex-Mex”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

OK Tex-Mex food,. The restaurant was nicely decorated and had a very nice bar area. It sits just off of Interstate 95.
Our party had various dishes. One had a taco sald that she thought was fabulous, the greens were fresh and the shell didnt appear to be your standard Sysco premade shell. I had the El Rodeo burrito that was your average TexMex dish. nothing stood out other than a nice portion and it being nicely plated. Another is or party had a combo plate that was agin a nice portion size and nicely plated.
Overall it was a good meal. But I have a few pet peeve, especially with Tex Mex. The great thing about Tex Mex is that usually everything is made fresh, right down to the salsa and chips and brought to you as an appetizer. I know its easier to have some items premade but in an area full of restaurants if you want to stand out you need to do things differently. and with TexMex it should be freshly made. Especially with the prices here being a little high I would expect fresh everything. Salsa Fresca is supposed to be house made...

“Covenient location”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

OK Mexican food. I had fajitas. Really loud rock band playing. Across the road from our hotel so it was OK.
