The Bartlett Pear Inn is a great place for an occasion and well worth the short 75-minute trip from Washington DC. The Inn is pretty and well maintained, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, the service is impeccable, and the food is excellent. We ate two dinners and two breakfasts at the Inn's four-start restaurant, and truly enjoyed a range of fish, meat, pasta, and egg dishes. The bar is a great place to enjoy one of several signature cocktails, and the wine list is diverse for a relatively small place. Hats off to the owners for creating a wonderful inn experience.

My husband has been in the hotel business his entire life, and he agrees with me that the Bartlett Pear is a gem among Inns. It is worth the stay just to dine in their restaurant. If it were located in Washington DC, it would be among the top 10 best. The room itself was charming, with comfortable beds, a well thought out bathroom, excellent air conditioning, and a quiet location. Treat yourself, pay a visit to the Eastern Shore, and stay and dine at the Bartlett Pear Inn.

The perfect place for a quick get-away or to celebrate a special occasion. Jordan and Alice and their staff are all knowledgeable, friendly, and so accommodating. The rooms are all different and our room was very nice and comfortable. The bathroom was oddly shaped and barely enough room for one person but we didn't spend much time in the bathroom so it wasn't a big problem. While the place was very nice, the food was 4 star dining! The breakfasts rivaled any we've had at some of the nicest restaurants - everything was beautifully presented with a taste to match. We ate dinner there one night and loved the tasting menu where each course was delicious and again, the presentation was beautiful. The gazpacho made with yellow and red tomatoes and the fish course were my favorites.

We will definitely be back!

I have never written a review on Trip Advisor to date, although have certainly read my fair share. having just spent a weekend at the Bartlett Pear Inn, i felt like the special service and wonderful cuisine deserved mentioning here.

First, as to the property -- it is a very attractive house and the room was comfortable, with a nice bed, and good size bathroom with one of the strongest showers i've ever used. it was appointed with nice soaps, shampoos, etc. for guests. the house has a lot of character, and old hard wood floors, multiple porches, etc. the only negative about the room is that the walls are very thin so the first night our neighbors' loud television and louder conversations at 6 am were somewhat jarring.

all of the staff at the hotel went out of their way to be accommodating, and super friendly. even little things like filling ice buckets, giving recommendations on things to do and see and always opening the door for us was noted.

finally, the food. we had two breakfasts and one dinner at the restaurant. while we had made a dinner reservation, we ended up scrapping the meal in the main dining room and instead had a dinner from the tapas menu in the bar. with the many year trend toward small plates, and having eaten at plenty of celebrated restaurants in DC, i can easily say this was the best small plates/tapas type meal i've ever had and one of the best meals overall, period. without question. the portions were not tiny; the preparation and presentation of each course was exquisite. the deviled eggs were the best i've ever tasted and the homemade pasta with truffles outstanding; the halibut was perfectly cooked. the dessert was amazing and the wine list was very nice it was all truly delicious. so too was the breakfast of french toast and fresh bacon. we will absolutely return and thank the inn keepers for a really nice weekend.

Once again we had the opportunity to stay 2 nights at the Bartlett Pear Inn. The spacious room with comfortable bedding and powerful A/C were welcome relief from the summer heat. My only (minor) complaint was that the bathroom was too narrow for two people to use comfortably at the same time. Short walks to local shopping and antiques kept our heat exposure limited. Cold drinks on the balcony exposed to the cooling evening breeze were much appreciated.
If possible, the food was even better than last time! The creative tasting menu of seven courses entertained the palate without overfilling the stomach and the wine pairings were spot on! Whatever you do, don't forget to get up in time for the included breakfast. It's different every day but our exquisite Eggs Benedict with local eggs and homemade bacon couldn't be topped.

The Bartlett Pear Inn has an interesting balance of modern and old school flavor. The Inn itself feels old, while the interior décor is contemporary with a modern feel. My wife and I spent a night in the Starkrimson room which is painted in a bright and cheerful shade of yellow contrasted by the bright, broad strokes of a Mark Rothko-style painting. The twin bed that was joined for an extra fee was quite comfortable and adequate. The bathroom was clean, neatly accessorized and had an old-school, fixed-angle rain shower head that released water with a rare, wonderful relaxing force. The outdoor porch on the first floor is a delightful place to sit and watch the town come to life in the morning and wind-down in the evening. The hostess, Alice, was very welcoming and quite accessible to talk about the Inn, the restaurant, and the town. Breakfast was served in the Inn’s restaurant on the ground floor, which includes a very pleasant seating area in the porch overlooking a garden, a fountain and some of the town. The quality of the restaurant was evident in the neatly plated, well-proportioned, and carefully prepared Egg’s Benedict, including home-cured bacon and accompanied by good pressed coffee or creamy whole milk from a local dairy, and a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice. Easton is a small town, which gives the feel of a place where the arts are valued and encouraged. For anyone wanting to spend an indulgent night in or around the area, the Bartlett Pear Inn is highly recommended.

We stayed at the Bartlett Pear Inn to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better spot. It was one of the best B&Bs that we've ever been to. The inn is very welcoming...Alice, Jordan and the entire staff were great. Our room was very nice, large enough and the bed was quite comfortable. Very quiet also. We brought our dog too and she was made to feel just as much as a guest as we were. And definitely make sure that you have dinner at the inn. Absolutely delicious with very attentive service. And great breakfasts to get the day started. Still thinking about the French toast and eggs benedict. Wonderful location as well....right in the heart of town. A very memorable place. You can't miss by staying here. Highly recommend it !
