Great place to watch eagles. Local photographers with great stories to share. Enjoy crossing the Dam and counting the open gates.

what an amazing sight to see Bald eagles in the wild here. As an overseas vistitor, it is amazing to be able to go to this park and see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. It is so accessible, along with all the bird watchers (amazing to see all their cameras and gear) watching this american symbol at home in the wild. Well worth going and apparently incredible to see them all swooping down when the sluice gates open. head to union hotel, port deposit for lunch afterwards.

Grab your camera & binoculars! Drive down to the fisherman's park and you will be thrilled to see our national bird, the beautiful Bald Eagle! It is also a gathering place for photographers, amateur and professional alike. Gulls fly around the dam where the water rushes with tremendous force, when the gates are open. You will probably be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of some Black Vultures and Great Blue Herons, as well as other species. On a warm day, pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery. It's a great place to spend an afternoon and teach the young ones about nature!

The dam is an amazing sight. Learn about it in the visitors center. There are wide open spaces to photograph bald eagles, immatures, vultures, blue herons..... People there are very nice. Feels very safe. Excellent vantage points now that the leaves are falling. Bring your own food and drink. No admission fees. plenty of parking. Dress warmly. Bring camera and binoculars.

Love to go and walk and watch the Eagles fly, sit, eat fish and sing. It's a lovely place to walk the trail or watch the fisherman or pic nic.
