My family has been to this restaurant 5 times. The food is excellent. There is great Jamaican heat in the dishes. In fact, the wings leave my eyelids sweating. Everything is just as it should be foodwise. The jerk chicken and wings are phenomenal given the abject lack of Caribbean influence in Western Maryland. The sides are a little lackluster but the entrees are as enterprising as anything you would find in New York or Miami. The jerk is beyond authentic and are hot without the super crazy heat that destroys flavor. The service, however is lacking. Kudos for remembering my 4 year old daughter every time we have been in. However, we have waited on dinner for more than 2 hours before. The restaurant sits less than 20 people and on the night in question, there were 9 people in the place and a simple order took over 2 hours to fill. That being said, the food is beyond a 5 and anyone interested in a great Caribbean experience would be well served to go here. The food IS NOT dumbed down for the American pallet and shines all the more for the Scotch Bonnets. They also serve breakfast which my wife has been to on 2 occasions and has had favorable experiences with.
