Although the restaurant just opened, this is winner. Food is great, staff is well trained and the space is large and inviting. French favorites like onion soup, steak frittes, and creme brûlée are great. But we loved the whole chicken a l'estragon, perfectly cooked, tender and juicy inside and crispy outside. Another favorite was the valrhona hot chocolate. Restaurant can get pricey very quickly. Assume $75 pp with wine.

This new venture of Foreman/Wolfe group is exactly what Columbia needed. Simple food prepared wonderfully in welcoming atmosphere with VERY well-trained wait staff. Try the French martini-terrific. Only negative - acoustics need work.

Enjoyed a quiet lunch with friends at this new destination in Columbia, MD on the lake. Petit Louis bistro's original home is located in Baltimore. This is a delightful addition to the collection already lakeside: a Japanese restaurant and an American one...both very good. Enjoyed a salmon salad done as requested to accomodate my low sodium dietary requirement. Other dishes were also available should I have desired, though regrettably the Moules apparently had a sauce already prepared with salt. Only opened a week, there are minor issues to work through but they are minor indeed. Visiting the comptoir (bakery) attached to the restaurant after our meal was quite tempting and had I not been on a restricted diet, I would certainly have taken a french pastry home with me!
