Attended a social event/club mtg/happy hour in the back near the main dining room. The drink prices were good (Friday night happy hour) and the space they gave our group was large and comfortable with two pool tables, TVs, a dedicated small bar with bartenders just for our group, etc. I didn't have any food but it looked appetizing and the menu looked good. The main bar and restaurant area was very busy with a mostly 30s-40s crowd the night I was there.

Good choice of bottled beers - not such a good choice of drafts.
Service was pretty slow - gave up asking for a glass of water to go with my beer as waitress just didnt seem to be bothered..
Food arrived cold - was too hungry to complain - but to be fair one of my colleagues did complain and they brought out a fresh dish and didnt charge for it.
Was a little disappointing overall....

We went here with a party of four and enjoy the food. The waitress was a little overwhelm see had to many tables to tend to so e service was a little slow be we were understanding. The food was priced about average and was pretty good. If you are looking for fine dining this isn't the place. Four of us having dinner with about 4 drinks each the average price with tip was 50$ each.

i've been to union jacks a few times and have never had the desire to really go ever. it can just be a convenient place if others want to meet or if you're at merriweather. service kinda sucks and since its a british pub the beer style just isn't my thing. i found the food menu to be unexciting and taste rather bland. there is an outdoor patio and some nights there is a dj and horrible music, they do have some good live entertainment but for me there are other places in the area that are way better than this. this place just unimpresses me.

We were looking for this place on GPS and found it tucked in with a dry cleaner, Fed Ex store, and Bank in an island between busy streets along the feeder road to Columbia Town Center. No nearby parking, have to hoof it about a block from a parking garage with limited handicapped parking.

I had a club sandwich with fries, grandpa had burger and gdaughter had turkey burger. All sandwiches were good sized and yummy (my club was big enough to save half for lunch the next day). the club came on fresh multigrain bread that was delicious. Each was accompanied by fries that were half way between steak fries and skinny fries, but limp, lifeless and unappetizing. Gdaughter also got a ceasar salad that was fresh and crispy. We were there on a Monday night and the burgers were half-priced - great deal! Service was attentive and brought drink refills without being asked.

One half the restaurant is covered with tables and chairs, there's a very large wrap around bar in the center with the requisite flat screens everywhere. In the back corner there are darts and around the corner from the tables and chairs there was an area with a nice gas fireplace and relaxed seating. In that area you could pretend you were in a British Pub, except the furniture was in good shape. Would say the fireplace area would handle maybe 20 of your closest friends at most. They have a large outside eating area that looked inviting for warm weather.

Was a good place for a quick bite of decent food, at a reasonable price. Not many people there on a Monday evening, but if I was a 20 or 30 something, looked like a good place to head to watch a big game and sample their beers.
