Nice, clean, small accommodations in College Park. Best spot for a quick trip to visit son at UMD. It is located just a minute from the entrance to UMD. Value was great since I was given "Grand Opening" special. I wish I would have booked a room for family weekend since it is already completely full.

Second visit in a month, and the change is noticeable. Room was not entirely clean upon check-in: toothpaste stains on sink, cleaning cloth left under sink, hair on floor.
One person manning check-in, so dealing with the party of 10 before us meant holding our luggage for a good 15 minutes (and needing a bathroom!).
Breakfast features lukewarm water for tea and microwave eggs that run out quickly. Not enough parking for all guests, but they'll give you a permit to park on the street (no thank you). Vending machines kept eating our dollars three nights in a row.

We stayed here one night before picking up our daughter from U Md. The staff was very pleasant and the king room was very nice . . . clean, new, and comfortable. The rate was good for the area. Negatives are the parking, the area is a tad "sketchy," and the breakfast area is small and food basic. But I'd certainly stay here again if I needed to be near U Md.

I found this hotel on the internet and booked it because it was a brand new hotel. The price was very interesting, considering it was right near D.C. Upon arrival, the staff was very courteous and we were given our room right away. The room was very large, but most importantly, it was clean! We have stayed in quite a few hotels in the States these past few years, and this was the cleanest we've ever been in. Kudos to Best Western!

We chose to stay outside of Washington DC and take the Metrorail into the city each day to avoid having to find a parking place in DC. This hotel was just perfect for that. It is about a 5 minute drive to the College Park-University of Maryland Metrorail station, it is brand new, and the staff at the hotel are very courteous and professional.
The room had 2 queen sized beds, was very open and was reasonably priced. Our stay was wonderful.
One word of caution- There are not enough parking spaces for all of the rooms in this hotel and if you arrive later in the evening there is a possibility that all of the parking spaces on site will be occupied. You can just go into the hotel desk and they will give you a parking permit for the adjacent street. Do not double park because we were blocked in the first night we were there by someone who didn't follow the procedure and the hotel clerk had to go up to the other patron's room, get his keys, and move his vehicle from in front of ours. It was only a minor inconvenience that was handled well by the hotel staff.

Room tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel may be quieter because the front faces Route 1 and there is a fire station about a block away so there is quite a bit of emergency traffic on Route 1.
