With the Chester River in view from the rear of the house, especially from the spacious family room, this is a great stay all around. The bedrooms are roomy, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen gives you room to cook as if you were in your own home, with the grill on the side deck as well. Located just a five or six minute drive from Chestertown (25 minutes from Rock Hall; an hour from St. Michaels), you’re central to so many options, whether you’re a family with young children or older, college-age kids. The little “welcome” basket with helpful notes and listings of local things to do and places to go.
The house had amazing views right on the river. It was also very comfortable and in a great location close to the little historic square. Would definitely stay here again and play with the kayaks! David was also absolutely wonderful - easy to work with and very responsive. Thank you so much for opening your home to us!
The sunsets are magnificent. The house is comfy, but showing some deferred maintenance like grass growing from the gutters, green stuff on the exterior, landscaping so very overgrown, several leaks showing in the ceiling (maybe from the filled gutters). The kayaks were fun, but only one adult life preserver, plus several smaller. Luckily, I had brought my own. A 3 might be harsh, but the owner needs to keep up with his beautiful neighbors.
what a beautiful area of md. to stay at for an relaxing get away.the beautiful sun sets and sunrise.
