First time to have breakfast here. Fantastic! Thrilled they were open Sunday morning. Always loved their lunches, but this breakfast was really special.

“Way too Loud!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

We had reservations for dinner; we were looking for a special evening with a friend we hadn't seen in a year. This was our first time. When we walked into the place, the noise level was so loud the person seating us had to shout. Not a good start in view of my request for a "quiet table" when I made the reservation. At our table we had to raise our voices to talk to each other. The food was OK; portions small. It is difficult to appreciate what appeared to be carefully prepared food when there is a knot in your stomach.
I felt dismissed by the person taking my reservation and further dismissed by the person who seated us (one and the same?) The waitperson tried very hard to make the evening pleasant and I appreciated her effort. I will not go back.

“a good end to a day”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

I stopped off here with a friend for drinks and a late lunch/early dinner. She had fish tacos; I had a crab cake sandwich. We both sampled the craft beers (a porter and an IPA). Everything was good; the service was great I think both of us would recommend the High Spot to our friends.

“The "Go To" Spot in Cambridge”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

The High Spot is a great addition to the emerging food scene in Cambridge. In the historic part of town, there already is an excellent French bistro, a good crab place and an oyster bar. Now you can go to the High Spot for a simple lunch or multi-course dinner, and the full bar offers an extensive beer list that must compete with any other on the Eastern Shore. The menu includes lunch items like juicy burgers, fish tacos, fresh salads, and sandwiches as well as a dinner choices like shepherds pie, risotto, local fish and great steaks. There is one room with the bar and some tables and another quieter room with just tables plus a few outside tables in front. The chef uses many locally sourced ingredients, which supports the Eastern Shore farm community. We have come multiple times and like the food and atmosphere. Last November they even tuned into the Michigan/Ohio State game for us, and we enjoyed a three-hour lunch!

“Great lunch place on the Eastern Shore.”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

After a morning of watching kids soccer, the High Spot Gastropub was the perfect place for a quiet, delicious lunch. I highly recommend the house crab soup, Marilyn's recipe....Also tasty were the chicken pot pie, shrimp po boy sandwich, and grilled Caesar salad with the deviled egg appetizer. Cambridge was an out-of-the-way nice surprise...
