Has a nice kiddie park, free brochures and tips about all the nearby attractions. Staff will even help you with maps to show you the best way to get where you're going. Good place to stop if you're going somewhere in the wilds nearby so you're not making a long drive to find the place you want to visit closed for the season. Some of the roads can be sketchy too, so best to tell them if you have a regular sedan. I wouldn't take them over some of the rickety "bridges" I saw in the wetlands.

At the foot of of the Choptank River bridge coming into town it is a good place to collect information for your visit. They can provide maps and brochures.

We didn't actually go inside the visitor center but we really enjoyed the park. We stopped after a long drive to have a picnic and it was lovely. There are cute bench swings along the water and picnic tables. You can get right to the water to dip your feet in.

There were several kids on the playground but it was still peaceful near the water because of the way the park is designed.

If I lived nearby I would probably visit this park often. It's a nice place to relax.
