It is very laid back and relaxing, and the music on weekends is quite good. If folks are in town, it is a great place to take them.

Great place to kick back with the kids. They used to be famous for slow service and nice atmosphere. The service is not quite as slow as it once was, but the atmosphere is still nice. You can order your food and kick back on one of the couches with a friend and chat for hours without feeling like they want you to move on. They have games and clothes for the kids to play with and books you can pick up and read. Nice place to spend an afternoon.

! That's right very hip and delicious food. Having late lunch here was the perfect end to a day of hiking the Appalachian Trail. I'm planning my next bike trip for spring on the C&O canal and the happy at Beans in the Belfry.

So, riding my Harley on Maryland backroads & got drawn in by this sign.
Beautiful brick early 1900s era church looks well kept with original stained glass that I first thought, "A church with a coffee house?" But a couple walked out just then carrying "to go" cups of Joe instead of Bibles. Onside, well brewed coffee and a mashup of odd tables replaced all but one pew. Good selection of alcoholic brews too, tasty pastries too, and the music apparently now mellow jazz, folk, & rock instead of choirs. A respectful preservation of a cool old church. Highly recommend a stop for coffee & pie along your ride. Atmosphere & coffee sure beat the big chains. A nice local shop that gave me warm welcome & interesting break today; worth riding to.

Sunday there is usually a Jazz Brunch, or some other music. Only been once but it was lots of fun and plan to go back.
