“Your typical longhorn or outback type place.”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

Texas Roadhouse is my go to steakhouse when I'm in the mood for a nice steak on an average day when I'm in Bowie. Its no "Ruth's Chris" or "Morton's" but it's also not Ruth's Chris or Morton's prices. So it's not a place I would go for a romantic/special meal, but definitely a top choice on a work night when I'm looking for some red meat. The atmosphere is very laid back. The birthday chants are very loud and annoying (warning). But the restaraunt seemed clean and the wait staff are pleasant. The salads taste very fresh, and the steaks are always cooked PERFECT. If you like fried pickles, this is one of the few places in the area that offers them. I like it better then outback steakhouse and about the same as longhorn.

“Im sure this is'nt a surprize to many, but was to me.”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

Really a great meal everytime, Im not saying this is Capital Grill, or BLT Steaks, but it is so worth the price. little loud, hate the birthday chants, but staff has always been very nice, food has been great everytime.

I have been about 5 times now and each time has been a good steak and salad with hot rolls at a good price.

For two people with large ribeyes two drinks and two beers, salads its under $30 total

“First time visit, will return again”
Reviewed December 27, 2011

Had a craving for steak, but didn't want to do OBSH again (frequent visitor). Got here right around opening time. Kinda a small place and the noise from the bar area really travels. Floor was clean (no shells) and there was a empty bucket on each table to place the shells in. Waitress was prompt and friendly. My family ordered 3 different types of steak and a order of ribs. Steaks were seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly as ordered. Very tasty and tender. Ribs were good, but my son said that he has had better. Not quite "fall off the bone" as they advertise. House salad was nicely put together and fresh. Rolls that came complimentary were soft and nice and warm. Liked the sweet butter that came with the rolls. Had a side of baked beans that were delicious. Only thing I can really complain about with the meal was my sweet potato and my wife's baked potato. Both were over cooked. Mine was so scorched that the burnt taste transferred right into the potato. Overall experience was good and I would go back again. Really liked the meat case by the door on the way out if you wanted to buy some steaks to take home and cook. They looked nice and fresh.

“Great atmosphere, great food, GREAT steak”
Reviewed October 3, 2011

We've eaten here twice in the last few months since discovering that this was one of two locations in MD actually near us. We've also been to the Pasadena, MD location, but that one was a disappointment due to the fact that they didn't have the country fried chicken that my wife loves as an available menu item the night we went. But this Bowie location has never had that sort of problem. The floor is littered with peanut shells, but that's to be expected, as it's Texas Roadhouse's custom. Our appetizers were great (LOVE the fall-off-the-bone ribs) and my steak was amazing as always. The noise level might be a bit much for some people, but it's something else you should expect. I would say that since it's just a typical chain restaurant, it's about on par with the others in it's chain, thus making it average, but if you expect good food, a great menu, and a good atmosphere from Texas Roadhouse, you won't be disappointed by this one. Bring an appetite!
