Had a great time here. Actually visited in 2009 but app would not go back that far. Loved Superman - the escape roller coaster.

Long lines, poorly managed. Kind of ho hum experience. The ride operators were not that efficient and we waited in hour long lines even when the park was not particularly crowded.
The need to bring back Thomastown! That was the whole reason I went in 2011, and it was WONDERFUL. Now I can't go back with my kids, because they'll be so sad to see the trains painted differently.
First off, fair warning, the food is *grossly* over-priced, even by amusement park standards. Think $40 for a medium Papa John's pizza, $13 for a plain (no toppings, no fries) hamburger from under a heat lamp. Service in the park is *terrible*. We had season passes and ended up going a handful of times before we just gave up. You are constantly accosted to buy additional rides (the ticket doesn't include everything in the park) or play midway games. There much to do other than rides, adn if you aren't into roller coasters this isn't the park for you. There are a few rides good for little little kids, but not much for the elementary aged kids. Preschools will like the Thomas the Tank Engine stuff.
Don't get me wrong, you can still have a whole lot of fun going to this park, especially when there is nothing else to do, but this major theme park has to rank among the lowest I've been to. While the occasional ride is above average, it seems that every time I go several rides, attractions, or areas of the park are shut down. The last time I went the entire water park was closed for some odd reason (and yes, it was summer). While you may disagree with my rating, I ask you to think about it in comparison to other "local" parks: Busch Gardens is a million times better, Hershey Park is better, Kings Dominion is better, heck it's previous park "Adventure World" was better! The Halloween festivities have been dumbed down since Adventure World and made more kid-friendly, but that's not what I'm looking for. The Haunted Train ride isn't even that haunted anymore! Not to mention the cleanliness of the park. By far the grossest park I've been to. The food is average however, and that's fine by all standards of an amusement park, but compared to Hershey Park the food is garbage. So go to this park, have a good time, eat some junk food, and see some shows but don't expect this park to be better than the other parks you're used to going to.
