We have had the wonderful experience of staying at Stoney Creek Farm on four occasions and each stay is consistently as gracious as the first. The extremely tranquil country setting is a a welcoming change from the hectic day to day life. This beautiful country home is very well appointed with no detail overlooked. Each guest room and the common rooms are very well appointed, exceptionally clean with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing, you won't be in a hurry to leave and will be planning your next visit. Denies and her family are very accommodating and go out of their way to make your visit one that goes beyond your expectations. Just when you think things couldn't get better you are treated to a breakfast that is over the top and one that will last you until dinner. Forget your diet and simply enjoy this mouthwatering treat. Breakfast will never be the same. Denise and the staff are very knowledgeable about the area and the local restaurants. She recommended the Press Room.
It is well worth the stop and you will not be disappointed. We are retire Select Registry Innkeepers and have a very critical eye when it comes to detail and hospitality and Stoney Creek Farm is a 10 out of 10. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

Room Tip: We have stayed in all of the rooms and each one is unique, comfortable, well appointed and very quiet. You can't go wrong with anyone of them, just read their description and pick your favorite.

My husband and I really enjoyed our anniversary weekend here. This B&B is family run and just makes every guest feel right at home. The breakfasts was wonderful and the grounds were amazing! It is so close to Antietam and Harper's Ferry... which everyone should visit!

Upon arriving at this luxorious country home, we were greated warmly by innkeeper Denise. She instantly made us feel not only welcome but genuinely at home. We toured the inn, viewing each room and all common spaces and were provided with interesting facts about the inn and farm, as well as some "house rules", which merely give you a firm appreciation for the lengths these proprietors go to make every visit positively memorable.

We quickly settled ourselves into our selected room (Equestrian) and ventured out to the common space at the entry to sit by the warm fire. While enjoying the respite from the bitter wind outside, Denise provided us with menus for local eateries and made reservations for us at The Press Room in Shephersdstown, WV. Denise and her husband Steve joined in conversation and later set out a spread of cheeses and wine for our enjoyment. We were the only guests for this night, so we really felt pampered in every aspect. Denise asked if we were dog lovers, which we are, and then offered to bring their adorable Jack Russels up to visit. These are not your typical pups, but rather docile, friendly, playful friends who work off your mood. We couldn't have asked for better housemates. Jack, Jill, and Rollie are part of the experience. Welcome home!

Dinner at the Press Room could not have been better. Another great find!

We arrived back at the inn to the most relaxing holiday music flowing from David's hands on the piano in the Great Room. We sat for some time listening and playing with Jack and Jill. Then enjoyed some lighthearted conversation with David. When we turned in for the night, we were sleeping in luxury on the most comfortable mattresses we've had in a room we've visited.

After a completely restful night, we woke to coffee and the morning beauty of the farm. Heather and Athena (her fox terrier) provided a phenominal breakfast and gave us even more history about the farm, inn and her family.

We left relaxed, refreshed and dearly wanting another night. What an amazing place! We look forward to many more visits. The Inn and the family running it gave us the centerpiece for our anniversary celebration. Thank you Denise, David, Steve, Heather and all the pups for a wonderful time.

Go and go often!

My husband and I could not have enjoyed our time at Stoney Creek Farm any more if we tried :). The room was spectacular (I *have* to figure out how to have an indoor balcony in my house!), the food was absolutely delicious, the grounds immaculate, and the innkeepers lovely.

The peaceful setting feels secluded, but is still only minutes from shopping and restaurants. The house was charmingly rustic and beautifully appointed, with an enormous kitchen to make any chef jealous. The area is rich in history and very picturesque—the perfect place to get away. My only regret is that we didn't have more time there!

My wife and I recently took a few days of E&E (Exhale & Explore) to Stoney Creek Farm from Bethesda - it was fantastic: absolutely great breakfasts, a wonderful room and totally attentive and helpful staff. And you can't beat the immediate area for history, great little restaurants and beautiful countryside... we'll be going back as soon as possible!

Room Tip: Check the photos online - all of the rooms are nice, but choose according to your tastes! The Equestrian room is probably the most private and quiet.
