This museum is a bit eclectic but interesting. Variety of artifacts representing quite a spread of subjects. There is a chair used in the Lincoln White House, pottery, Civil War memorabilia including bullets and firearms and more. The hours of operation are very limited and you have to check the website and make appointment.
This town also has another museum - National Road Museum. It commemorates American first federal highway. We saw it just from the outside - next to the trolley station museum.

I wish the information on the operating hours for this museum were posted on Trip Advisor BEFORE we drove all the way here.

We had a private tour of Doug Bast's museum. It's probably the best collection anywhere. Doug was so knowledgeable about all the things he collected over decades. My husband is very interested in the Civil War and was amazed at the collection. Doug is a gem and true historian of Boonsboro. It's a must see.

A large Civil War collection resides in his small, but packed museum. Many treasures are located here. Staff is very knowledgeable and its definitely worth a visit if in town to check out.
