I am picky about thai restaurants as a DC resident I am spoiled with abundance of decent thai places to eat. But Bangkok Garden has the best menu so far I have come across. There is a large variety of items that are not usually on menu in many thai restaurants. Service was good and food tasted great. Will definitely dine here again.

Went here for lunch. We ordered chicken cashew and crabmeat fried rice. Both dishes lacked flavor, it seemed like they were missing spices. We were the only diners in the restaurant--- not sure if thats a sign. I don't think we will be returning.

Lived in the area about ten years ago and was just back on business. Stopped here for lunch and the restaurant has been updated and nicely appointed. The menu remains true to Thai cuisine, and the Tom Yum Kai and drunken noodle has not changed in the years I have been away ... It remains phenomenal!

The lunches are indifferent here. However, if you go in the evening, and let the waiter know that you are comfortable with as much heat as they can put in your dishes ("make me cry ...") the chef will provide you with a memorable meal. Definitely worth exploring beyond the usual confines of green/red/Panang curries. Crispy catfish with green peppercorns on the vine were excellent. The Bangkok Garden calamari is served with fried basil leaves and a lime-chile sauce that complements the squid perfectly. Do not forget the daily specials. Best Thai I've had in the USA.

Nice Thai restaurant that also has a fair number of dishes that I'm more used to seeing on a Chinese menu. Friendly, efficient service. Has local and Thai/Chinese beers. With the more Chinese dishes, it has a wide range of vegetarian options, and it appears that the Thai curries could be veggie (though I didn't ask about whether they would make it without fish sauce). I went for fried tofu in black bean sauce. Very tasty.
