The owner of this restaurant is a world renowned chef. He is a close friend of Ferran Adrià of El Bulli fame and a pioneer of "molecular gastronomy". This is a traditional tapas place and everything is good. My favorite is the bacon wrapped dates. They sound disgusting, but are to die for.

We walked there from our Bethesda hotel and were seated in 3 minutes on a Thursday evening. The place was mostly full and too noisy but we could still converse. All the dishes were good but the cauliflower was the best. We spent $120 for 4 adults with 3 beers plus tip. We might go back but would probbly try anther place first. The one meat dish was not tender but the flavor was right on.

We dined here for my father's 70th birthday. We ordered the Chef's Classic Tasting menu for the 6 of us. We enjoyed the croquettes, garlic shrimp, jamon, salt codfish, dates wrapped in bacon, tomato bread, spanish omelet, marinated chicken, olives, cheeses, fried pasta with seafood, goat cheese and red peppers, chocolate mousse, flan and many others that were all wonderfully prepared. The service was top notch- crumbs removed unobtrusively, waters refilled, wine glasses refreshed without need to request. We cannot wait to enjoy another meal here.

We used to go for tapas and amazing sangria but the last few times we were there it was not quite as good. The sangria recipe must have changed. The tapas are good but a bit overpriced. Very crowded but you can usually get a place in the bar area.

We enjoy Jaleo's frequently changing menu, so it is never boring. Terrific selections for all eaters. Lots of vegetarian options. Do not overlook large meals - paellas authentic and tasty. Special cuts of Iberian pork to share are very good though portions a bit skimpy. Much less crowded at lunch and week nights.
