“A Gem for a Casual Meal Out”

I like this place! I said I visited in March 2013 because I've been there quite a few times, can't remember when was the last, and plan on going next week. It's a great place for a relatively inexpensive, casual meal out with family or friends. The place sells wine and beer at retail as well, and you can choose a bottle of wine from their racks and have it served at your table for the retail price. That really takes a big bite out of the cost of a meal out. Thin crust pizzas are excellent. So is the hummus platter. My wife had a very nice crabcake here one time. And we also had a nice breakfast one morning. But the thing to absolutely die for here is the homemade gelato! Mmmmm! The Pistachio, in particular, is out of this world. I am totally gluten tolerant, but Lilit also has a wide selection of gluten free items on its menu, so if you're looking for good gluten free food, look no further.

“Meh”

The service was slow. The bread was stale for my sandwich. They offered to TOAST it so that it would taste better. They were out of a lot of stuff at the start of lunch (11:30) it was a big disappointment, given that their vegetarian menu is supposed to be so good. Not worth the wait or the $$$

“Reasonable place for a meal with friends”

Had a nice dinner there which included steak and crabcakes. The steak was a bit overdone (asked for medium rare) and the crabcakes did not knock my socks off. But, the prices are reasonable and the staff helpful and friendly.

“Gelato and more!”

We enjoyed panini sandwiches and the crabcake platter. They claim the "best" crabcakes on their window and we weren't disappointed. Finished lunch sharing the pistachio gelato - lovely! There is a Circulator stop near by - very convenient.

“Gluten Free”

Small cafe convenient to downtown Bethesda with on the street parking. Extensive gluten free menu. Tasty gluten free crab cakes. Owner brought complimentary gluten free to for us to sample and complimentary desert. Also had a wide variety of deli meats to make gluten free sandwiches and frozen food section.
